Per the San Bernardino police chief he doesn't know if this is international terrorist incident. Press conference still going on as of 2:09 PT US (8 hours from Britain)
EDIT: news conference ends at 2:11 PT US. Police chief said they would update every hour. one to three suspects are on the run. black SUV involved but could have been abandoned for another mode of transportation.

Cant see any other motive TBH.
They were wearing masks unlike the usual scum so were planning to get away for possible repeat attacks.

In due respect that is incorrect. A terrorist has political ideals which he wishes to achieve through his actions. A lone shooter is often holding a specific grudge which motivates the action. They are not the same. Skin colour, incidentally, is absolutely nothing to do with it.
It's already been confirmed that this was not a lone shooter.
It was also not considered a terrorist attack (by most people) when the white supremacist kid shot up that black church. Despite the fact that he was politically/ideologically motivated.
Pedantry aside you know what I'm saying.

I do now that you have cited other instances etc. I agree with you that there may be an element of racism in some Americans attitudes, however, with our history of Irish terrorism in the UK, most of us have no problem imagining a white person as a terrorist.

Apparently this was a teamsters union christmas party as reported by a ktla reporter after talking to a teamster union representative.
Never mind the facts though. There are papers/advertising space/political agendas to boost. They must be "terrorists".

Police & *** have taken down 2 or 3 suspects on a street about 2 miles east of the original shooting scene. A KTLA helicopter followed the chase scene. Then showing the black SUV with bullets having riddled the windscreen. One suspect looking bloody-American use-in the street. Another suspect was chased into a house property area. The third suspect is in the black SUV with a weapon strapped to his chest.
EDIT: it appears third suspect in the black SUV is dead. They are pulling him out with special SWAT equipment (showing on KTLA).
Also a pipe bomb was found in the black SUV and no motive has been determined.
The middle suspect who was chased into a house appears to be alive.

According to Fox News an Islamic name was said over the police radio and a man who trains police in active shooter situations said he also heard from his sources that an islamic name was involved. Fayood Saeed was the name on the police radio. Spelling could be wrong.

Watching it here in U.S waters. "Islamic Name", nearly choked on my Yorkshire Gold. Arabic name maybe, but Islamic name? Got a guy here on the ship called Jesus, he's Hindu; just saying.
