:nono:

The guy is in hospital, having surgery and possible life changing injuries. Some poor form on here, the great man deserves better. Quite simply one of the greatest ever sportsmen. Get well soon Tiger.

You know it's possible to both feel sorry for the guy and also make a little joke? Life isn't completely binary.

A man speeding (been alluded too by officials) driving a tank of a car lost control. Lucky no one else around or he would have killed them, ends up the other side of a two lane road down in a ditch and splinters his legs.

Respect? If it was a nobody you would not give damn.

Just like the Greek rolling his Range Rover if he had hurt himself or even killed himself would he deserve sympathy, no he wouldn't.

Katie Price or Jordan seems to be not able to walk long periods after an accident that damaged her feet.
I know she is maybe not that popular as well with some people, but I wish the greatest golfer of all time a good recovery.

It'll be great when a cricketer mangles himself in an accident with a possible amputation in the offing and seeing who can get the first funny 'stump' pun in.

He will be on a sticky wicket but I won't bale him out, his time on here would be over as he would have crossed the boundary for the cricket lovers.

Has Jack Nicklaus hurt himself as well then?

Jack Nicklaus has won a few more majors, but in most peoples minds he wouldn't have been in Woods class in the modern era.
A bit like O'sullivan is considered by most as the best snooker player of all time despite having won 1 less world championship to date compared to Hendry.
His other stats like more century breaks etc would back that up.

In most peoples minds maybe but I was under the impression that the best are judged on majors, like tennis, but i get your point.
In any sport I don't do the who would have beaten who because the modern golf game is totally different in every aspect you would have to put them together at the same age, same equipment, same courses.
Also, not that I suppose it counts very much, Nicklaus was a gentleman, no way would Woods have given that gimmie to Jacklin in the Ryder.Cup.
Also and this has got nothing to do with it but Nicklaus designed the wonderful St Mellion that I play 2 or 3 times a year, on a sunny evening there is no better place to be.

Also to add, I don't think these hilarious golfing puns are really appropriate when someone is seriously injured. I remember when news of Michael Schumacher's accident happened there was a similar reaction here. Obviously that doesn't seem funny now in his current condition.

May I suggest you don't look on this thread then you wont be upset.

Schumacher was slightly different.

Ok, so painful and possibly life changing injuries is an excuse to making jokes about him.

Fair enough, I'm sure you will think the same thing if shit happens to you.

If somebody was posting on a football forum in a different country I probably wouldn’t know.

I’ll add I don’t drive like a tit either.

I’m sure he wouldn’t give a flying jeep about me why should I over him, get over yourself. He did

Exactly. What is the point?
