So whilst The Albion put up a valiant performance against Champions of Europe Man City, Palace get mullered by Newcastle. Neither get points but I'd be feeling better about the future as an Albion than a Palace fan.

Palace fans biggest fear?

Albion winning in Europe for the first time by beating one of its giants is probably up there.

What about their A1 academy

This is an absolute belter from Roy

Hodgson said: "There was no disappointment today. Maybe the young substitutes, who we like to think we can believe in and help us to a different level, didn't show that. They didn't do anything for us at all, really. We became much weaker when I made the substitutions."

Worthing
Seen a lot of Palace fans on Twitter moaning about Hodgsons comments.
While being very amusing, how on earth did they think it would pan out?

He’s older than Methuselah, they didn’t sign any players they actually needed in the Summer, apart from 1 free transfer, their A1 academy isn’t that great,( see PL2 table) and they over hype any player that shows the slightest hint of capability.

This has been waiting to happen since Hodgson returned.

Strange interview from Hodgson last night. He complained that the question "how do you assess tonight" was not specific enough and it was difficult to give an answer.
He has become Victor Meldrew.

Apologies if fixtures but there’s a glorious thread on the Holmesdale about us - it’s titled

Why are Brighton so much better than us right now?

which is as you’d expect full of bitter and twisted comments and hopes about our impending downfall……it must be hurting them sooooo much

That interview was weird and plain rude. Felt sorry for the woman he was disrespecting

Wow, what a great way to shatter any confidence the young lads had.

Right now? Been a few years at least. Even before that the gulf in the clubs was huge, even if we were not as effective on the pitch.

So whilst Brighton becomes the go to destination for the worlds most ambitious and talented youngsters, Palace do the complete opposite by become the nursing home for overpaid journeyman headed up by a 76 year old grumpy dinosaur.

A miserable rude young bloke becomes a miserable rude old fucker. Hodgson has always been a prickly horrible person.

That's beyond stupid, these being the same set of fans that feel we "overcharge" for players and bemoan the fact we keep uncovering footballing gems, I've always thought they were deluded but this takes the biscuit. To be fair there are many sensible fans, like @loz and my Son & Daughter, but some are beyond stupid with that thinking.

Looks like the big clubs are circling for Guehi in January. That will be a test of his and Beaky’s ambitions. To be fair, he’s been a very good signing for them but will be v hard to replace on their budget.
