"Medical evidence ‘not an issue’ in MP Jo Cox murder trial"
"His case is being handled under the “terrorism protocol” as part of a terror list before Mr Justice Saunders. He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on October 4 for a plea hearing and will stand trial in November."...

"Mair’s lawyer, Keith Allen, said his client was making no application for bail. The judge, Mr Justice Sweeney, remanded Mair in custody until Thursday this week...
Whilst the Nigel Farage video does remove the context within he said it, he did definitely say it. Don't you feel that as a massive figure in this debate he has an obligation to avoid that kind of inflammatory language? Whether he intended to or not, by painting it as an inevitability (which it...
But I'm not sure we need to know.
Neither campaign has been responsible and the press have colluded to stoke up a frenzied atmosphere. It's completely unhealthy, it shouldn't take a major incident for us to recognise this.
Is this what you are refering to?

With one exception, I don't think anyone on this thread has actually done that. I agree it's crass, classless and most importantly factually wrong. Of course he wasn't directly inspired by the Leave campaign to murder her, it should go without saying.
What is being said and the referendum in...
Exactly.
It's easy to forget that not everyone has the intellectual capacity and awareness to take their news from a broad variety of sources, recognise and acknowledge bias without immediately discounting the source. Irresponsibly, the referendum debate has made an overly polarised situation...
Let's not go with 'evil' as well. That's a cop out. It's just a word people use to stop them from having to think possibilities, decisions and motivations that are open to all of us.
And if we are to accept that this was an 'evil' act it's timing and target were a massive coincidence.
The point is I haven't concluded. I'm saying that it is possible that the current political climate could have created a scenario whereby someone could do this and feel justified in their actions. I think that's a reasonable position to hold.
But this is the point. It hasn't happened in a vacuum.
- An article in the Sun with Zac Goldsmith's name attached appeared on page 5 and said brazenly that if Sadiq Khan were to be elected that was a threat to the safety of Londoners. Khan is now London mayor. Are Londoner's to believe that...
I just hope that this same level of level headedness will be applied by The Sun, Mail and Express in future should a similar crime ever be perpetrated by a Muslim. I'm all for considering the impacts of mental illness on people that commit crimeand would like to see it applied in all cases...
All of a sudden you're interested in Shami Chakrabarti's opinion! Didn't have you down as a fan of hers.
Not saying that there aren't some specific, regional issues at local level for the Labour Party to resolve (indeed this has been acknowledged as something that needs to be worked on and...
I am aware. However, these widespread tactics are used by groups far less pernicious than Britain First. The people that turn up to the marches are thugs, looking for a fight exclusively, the same morons signing 'No Surrender.' in France right now. You'd have to be stupid to associate with them...
