TBH I would rather watch Zaha than Milner or Downing.
When someone plays for England, I will support them, whoever they play for.
He will probably learn about how much the others in the squad are earning, and have his head turned.
All this talk of him being worth 50 zillion quid just means he will look at his wage packet and think,' if I'm worth that much to the club when they sell me, I could be earning 10 times what I am currently getting in the Prem.'
don't tell me money doesn't talk, remember Freedman was supposed...
I think if there's an offer of 8 million Palace will take it, unless they have a serious chance of going up.
With losses confirmed at minimum 5 million for the season they will be keen to avoid another administration.
As an aside, I was told today by someone yesterday ITK at Birmingham that the £250k for Ambrose is deffo the total amount. There are no additional add-ons.
Palace just wanted him off their pay roll.
Seeing as FFS Murray is (reportedly) on a similar amount, I'm sure that Palace fans are...
What I can't understand is that Palace have so many fantastic players:
Zaha, Williams, Clyne, Speroni, Ambrose, Jedinak etc etc. Why didn't they win the league, not finish 17th, 10 points behind us?
That is a fair point.
Clubs in the PL will be able to spend even more on transfers/wages to ensure they stay there, whilst those in the Championship will throw money they don't have with the aim of reaching the promised land.
IMO there will be more and more clubs 'chasing the dream' and more...
