Some will say that makes you a snob. Of course it was horrible. Watneys were not overly-concerned with the taste of the beer, just how easy it was to keep it, and how long it could kept.

Because they are. If calling something like John Smiths Smooth "crap" makes me a beer snob then I am guilty. When they brought out that beer they will have discussed many issues, I would think quality was fairly low down the list.

Fair enough - but that is your loss. It is one of the pleasures of my occasional forays away thinking about where to go and what to drink. It is good to care. Why not lager snobs ?

Why do people that like decent beer attract such hostility ? Are you the same with people who like quality vegetables ? The Harveys at the Amex is a great success story - and it is now part of the matchday routine. I, for one, would like it to continue. Who wouldn't ?
