Leatherheads Likeable piece of entertainment starring Rene Z' and the film's director Gorgeous George Clooney. A comedy drama set in 20s America and depicting the transformation of professional (American) football from a shoddy side show to top grade sport. Good casting, reasonable script...

Didn't catch In Bruges on Monday as too late (thanks to Mrs Haddock!) so we caught [.REC] instead. Edgily shot horror flick (won't describe type of horror in more detail as worth checking out blind) but involves camera crew (in Spain?) following a fire crew around to a standard call out (or IS...

Haven't seen Pearl Harbo(u)r but this love-triangle-thingamy mentioned above sounds like the overwhelmingly irritating equivalent in the loathsome Titanic. Any true likeness though?

The Orphanage / El Orfanato. Mexican / Spanish co-production by debut director Juan Antonio Bayona. This eerie psychological horror flick centres on events (or protagonist's imaginings?) at an orphanage she has acquired and at which she spent a period of her own childhood. I won't expand on...

Top man....I quite agree! Don't know what the hell The Matrix (absolute crap apart from visual innovations at the time), American History X (steady on there!) and Eternal Sunshine (over-rated imho) are doin' there. Have seen all 50 and there's some DAMN good viewing to be had from that little lot!

Yes, US, Downfall is a top, top film too (we agree for once ;) ) but shamefully I haven't yet seen The Machinist, but you really should check The Lives Of Others out too. As someone pointed out above, the main actor died (of stomach cancer) sometime shortly after filming, giving this...
