I'm not sure what is literally outside the stadium, but someone I know who has done a recce to Athens said the whole area around the stadium is very much unfinished and a bit of a shithole.
"It reminded me of Pompey" was the comparison I found amusing.
It will be eligibility, which could be:
- pre-registration. A lot of people thought they'd registered for both Ajax and Athens, but only registered for Ajax. Are you absolutely sure you did pre-register?
- not enough points. This game sold out at Tier 2 (from what I recall). If you didn't have...
Dear Darren,
We are keen to ensure all ticket holders for Athens away are still able to attend the match.
If for any reason you are unable to attend, please email us by return with your fan number and confirm which tickets you are unable to use by midday on Friday 17 November. This will allow...
As mentioned above - I've not heard anything yet, but I wouldn't be surprised to have something similar to the Ajax "please let us know if you can't go" communication this week now that Supporter Services have staffing Ajax and the Sheffield United game behind them.
I need to make my own...
Very much so - I was going to post the same yesterday.
I have an Athens ticket but I don't yet have travel.
Although I'd done a bit of scoping out of travel, I wasn't going to commit to it - as air fares are quite high - before I knew I had a ticket. So now I need to sort that bit out. If I...
I've had sight of a live chat conversation from yesterday where the customer service rep said the absolute opposite.
And from all of us who were watching the tickets ahead of 2pm yesterday, we know tickets weren't released from baskets - they never came back.
I haven't, no, because someone shared with me a copy of a live chat session they had with the club which indicates the club know it happened.
With this being the case, they don't need to tell them - they already know.
As such, I am sure measures will be taken to ensure it doesn't happen again...
The same system has been used, and the same tiering process.
What does seem strange is the club allowed Tier 1/2 hoarders to reserve most of the c100 tickets available for Tier 3s today. There's no guarantee you would have been able to get the ticket you needed in Tier 3 today with demand...
It's this...
1. Tier 1 and 2s were still able to buy right up to 2pm today. Even if they'd already bought, they could still enter the game and view seats etc.
2. Their mates in Tier 3 could only buy from 2pm today.
3. Before 2pm, a Tier 1/2 could select a seat and put it in their basket. If...
Do you think enough tickets reappeared then? Still didn't seem to be as many as I expected to see.
Assuming that 1:50 ftlushout was manual, I wonder if someone forgot to also press the "Sold Out" button to keep everyone out until 2pm.
But it looks like those Tier1/2s who put them in their basket before 2pm to "reserve" them for Tier 3 mates - and this was very obviously happening from around 13:45 onwards - didn't have their baskets cleared out.
There were enough of us keeping a close eye on things that one of us would have...
