I'd say England are punching above their weight. We're reaching the quarter finals of tournaments and going out to decent opposition, isn't that what England have pretty much always done? Under Keegan and Taylor we'd either go out in the first round or not qualify. You can't say there hasn't...
Yeah, Portuguese league/cup?
He's won something with every club he's been at. That's what most people don't seem to understand. Do they honestly believe the FA decided to hire some unknown Swedish quantity one day and pay him £5 Mill a year?! Look at his track record!
He also won Lazio their first ever Scudetto (correct me if I'm wrong - might have been their first in 50 years or so?) which is the equivalent of Aston Villa winning the Premiership now.
Would love Mourinho in charge but sadly it'll never happen.
Until then we'll just have to settle for the man Chelsea wanted ahead of him and Man United sought to replace the most successful manager in their history - poor us
Why is everyone claiming Carrick is some sort of saviour when he's played two good games for England against er, USA and Colombia? Granted he's doing well for Spurs but he hasn't really proved himself at international level yet.
The way I saw it it was a very good England side playing in the totally wrong formation against a piss poor Wales side.
Still think 4-4-2 is for us IF we can get Gerrard and Lampard in the side together to work.
