absolutely, those players werent glamorus but were really important pros to steady the team. then a sprinkling of players with tier one experience abroad (Ryan, Gross, Propper). Hughton knew what he was doing, setting out a team squad that could be hold its own.
pretty sure he could do it over the week end, or one evening. read through, call with lawyer, and sign. clearly he is holding out for something or negotiating something.
the EU related is implemented in UK law, so that would have to be repealed or replaced. then on the first case a club tried this, it would be contested in UK courts, good chance the same outcome as in europe. thats if UEFA/FA rules havent changed to reflect law anyway.
you seem to be under the misunderstanding the reason to loan players is to move on unwanted ones. it may be a revelation to you that players are loaned to get first team competitve game time, build confidence and skill, toughen up, then come back a better player to parent club's first team...
not quite, it seems to promote a view that players are only for their value, that we want to enhance his value and make more profit. i think we want to benefit from his playing ability.
i cant quite see Barca going for Bielsa (has Pochettino written all over it). but will be most amusing is if he engaged is discussion with them before settling for Leeds. no, the most amusing will be after discussion he doesnt sign for Leeds either.
he could be right. its how Liverpool, Man City, others play. oh, dont we play a pressing game? they might be in for a surprise when other teams press them.
forthly, its player registration that matters for footballing authorities. technically any player can do another job, even play football elsewhere for an ungoverned league.
not a good thing is it really.
just read we've rejected £22m (Leedslive). we paid that for Webster, so if they dont start with £30m+ why would be interested?
 they think they can make it happen by willing it to be so, it just not fair that he isnt their player. who knows, as i say i reckon the club will fluff it with paltry offer.
that very good point, its easy to keep to a sensible pay structure when consistently at top of league with no or only one serious competitor. joining the English league would blow all that away, the shear weight of expectation that they should be competing in top 4 will ruin their current practice.
i can see Leeds offering a paltry fee, on assumption he wants to go there etc. then Liverpool swooping in with a larger offer we accept and they'll persuade him to join (not difficult "heres a money truck, title contenders and europan football")
i see Celtic has revenue of ~100m, Rangers ~33m. they'll get more in the Premier League, no more than say West Ham or Newcastle. i dont know why Warnook thinks they'll spend it any more wisely then those clubs.
