Sorry BG, we did have shape which was Ince acting as the holding player a la Bridcutt, as I said he occasionally chases a ball out wide which leaves us exposed. Certainly I think the forwards and wingers have been told to rotate.....
I don't think it was his best game, he played well, but still chases the ball at times, which means we lose our shape. He does need an experienced head beside him,and yesterday Crofts played very responsibly.
As for replacing Greer, I agree ridiculous suggestion.
Great performance again, he does have a habit of chasing the ball though and I thought Crofts was excellent at noticing and filled in each time.
KLL definitely MoM, with Greer not far behind.
Apart from that
Seriously he had shots that were very wayward. Was one on one countless times without delivering, if he had lost the chase back he should've been shot as he had a head start.....
Moved to the middle which meant we lost our 'out' ball.
Just for Ben's Grandad.
I thought Ince had his least effective game today, (6/10). Still better than most of his midfield colleagues though.
Passing good in the main, but decision making was poor and positionally a little off key, which was probably the biggest difference when Andrews came...
Oh come off it. I really don't think you are being very objective. I appreciate that we differ on the subject of Ince, but.........
He gave away possession once.
He kept the shape of the team much better yesterday than he did against Derby, when he chased the ball a bit too much.
He didn't...
That's fair comment, of course he could have got some 'average' loan players in, but it would have eaten the budget, plus (hopefully) we're biding our time for some quality signings....
I think this is a fair comment. On the dreadful day that Liam is sold, it is reassuring that we have Ince and Keith Andrews who was outstanding last week.
