One of the things I really miss about being in the Football League is playing on Easter Monday. Always a good day out, with some great games down the years. The Premier League are missing a trick!

With Brighton playing Liverpool on Easter Sunday I wondered how common it was for Albion to play on this day? I remember playing Man United on Easter Sunday a few years ago, but don’t remember any otherwise. Any Albion historians have any other examples?

When all is said and done, the record books will show Lewis Dunk got his 5th England Cap tonight. The most received by any Brighton player, ever. What a special player who we have been lucky to watch over the years. 👏

Find it interesting that Marseille are already the only team from which that are left standing. Were we a bit over the top about how tough our group draw was? And did this tie against Roma give us an insight into the gulf in class that currently exists?

I don’t like being pessimistic, but you can get bettter odds on the tories winning the next general election than Brighton overturning the 4-0 deficit! But then again, at 16/1 (odds vary just illustrative) is it worth a fiver?

Overshadowed by the recent success of the mens team, but another bad defeat for the Women yesterday who seem to be going through a very difficult period after losing so many players last summer. Such a shame if they got relegated just when women’s football is booming.
