We really could do with Cole Palmer getting a red card or a small injury. He is an exceptional player and without him Chelsea would have been in trouble this season. Need to do a man marking job on him on Wednesday.
I don't have utmost respect for Newcastle fans who have accepted their Saudi overlords with barely a word. I also don't have respect for them being allowed to stick away fans miles away from the pitch. I'd be delighted if we contributed to them not making the Europa League.
Im sure I remember RDZ saying that he wants his players to train at 100% which was new to them - can't remember where now. Whatever the reason - and the likelihood is its a combination of various factors including bad luck - we could really do with a quieter treatment table next season.
I agree. It is looking more and more like there is a training issue of some sort as it's getting slightly ridiculous now. I assume no one asked about Solly's return today as there was talk of him being back before the end of the season and another poster has hinted that he may not play for us...
Looked dodgy from the stand where I was. Looked equally dodgy on the replay. One of those that if it hadn't been given, it wouldn't have been overturned by VAR. The Pedro one v Man City was 1000 times more clearcut.
It could have done and probably should have done but as we were reliant on a slightly dodgy penalty that only went in on a rebound I think we did indeed make very hard work of it. Never mind, either way we won and that's fantastic.
It was immediately obvious that Villa were leggy and not up for it at all and an in form Albion would have blitzed them. RDZ knows from his post match comments that we hit them on a very off day and we made VERY hard work of it BUT it's just so nice to celebrate a goal and a win - those moments...
