No fan of McGinn at all - the snide **** - but eloquent here (for a Scotch)
I can't look at it like that.Blimey missing out because of that must sting.
Same refereeing error that robbed Dunky of an equaliser against West Brom a few years back. The rule is to let play continue if it 'might' be offside - but not in this sort of situation. Crazy. And blowing his whistle didn't influence any Man Utd players.
And going back to that game at home - the ref had blown his whistle for full-time, yet a penalty was still allowed to be given.......
Chelsea are playing Champions League next season, they really won’t give a shft what happens in Wrocław!Want Chelsea to fall into the pits of hell. REALLY want Betis to obliterate them.
Perhaps PGMOL have changed the rules....The rule is to let play continue if it 'might' be offside - but not in this sort of situation. Crazy. And blowing his whistle didn't influence any Man Utd players.

Because the foul happened before the whistle was blown. This goal was scored after. The rule is to let play continue if it 'might' be offside - but not in this sort of situation. Crazy. And blowing his whistle didn't influence any Man Utd players.

Yes - but it still seems totally wrong that VAR couldn't intervene.Because the foul happened before the whistle was blown. This goal was scored after.
Dreadful decision but rules don’t allow for it to be looked at as no goal was scored (all checked) and it wasn’t for a possible penalty (again all checked). Really tough on Villa.Yes - but it still seems totally wrong that VAR couldn't intervene.
I completely agree, but people hate VAR so much they want to limit it, when i think it would be better for the game to be more like Rugby's system.Yes - but it still seems totally wrong that VAR couldn't intervene.
Yeah, the point is the whistle is supposed to be final. Game over or game stopped. In one scenario they went back in another they didn’t.Because the foul happened before the whistle was blown. This goal was scored after.
No change in rules. United got their pen as it happened before whistle was blown and all possibly pens checked by VAR. We did get our own back with a similar situation though.Perhaps PGMOL have changed the rules....
(sound of intensive research and checking)
Errr.... nope.
Fergytime* has been replaced by incompetence.
*Or incompetence as it was once known.
Indeed. No change in rules. United got their pen as it happened before whistle was blown and all possibly pens checked by VAR. We did get our own back with a similar situation though.
The rules don’t allow VAR to get involved in the Villa incident.
Nope, even before VAR red cards could be given, penalties can be brought back after the final whistle too (very rare). If a player handles it in the area then clears, but ref doesn't see, he can blow for ft. The linesman could flag for it, speak to the ref, then it can still be given.Yeah, the point is the whistle is supposed to be final. Game over or game stopped. In one scenario they went back in another they didn’t.
