Yep not a chance in hell Anfield will go anytime soon. In fact they have the perfect stadium - big, close, atmospheric, in the heart of the city and getting more and more modern.
God this sort of comment depresses me. Imagine being Bloom and reading that after putting 100s of millions into the club, getting the team to the PL, getting them into Europe, establishing the club in the top 10 teams in the country and continuing to invest millions into ground improvements...
Exactly. We got Europe first, they got a trophy first. And their best ever points total this year is still miles below our best and they've been trying forever. It hurts but it's not the end of the world.
Is it just me that finds it odd that UEFA would allow a Conference League without an English team? Maybe they will issue an edict from above that because everyone hates Palace they will allow the eighth place team to go into the CL. And then Brentford claim it!
I sort of agree but it seemed to be what FH was intimating and he could grow into the role. In the same way I'm pretty happy if Hinsh plays at LB if needed but he's better in midfield I think the same may be true of Mats at RB and perhaps means the position is less of a priority this summer.
Interesting in today's press conference FH says he can see a future for Mats at right back and thinks he could play there for us moving forward - I wonder if that affects our transfer targets. I wouldn't be upset to see him starting there in August.
That's a hell of a leap - he may or may not go but anyone with eyes can see he's clearly playing with an injury. If we didn't need him so much I'd wager he would have been out for the season a few weeks ago.
