@Bozza alluded to this earlier on, but it's not really what I'm getting at. There is a difference between consistency and ability, surely?
We've been as capable of dropping points from crap teams as picking up points from better teams. It would be interesting to see a stat where points earned...
Not quite ALL, but certainly we don't stand out as some sort of morgue. Nobody likes Leeds obviously, but you'd have to begrudgingly accept that their home atmosphere is as good as anywhere in the league, and they'll be back here next season.
This is the problem, in a nutshell - we are horribly inconsistent and this is reflected in our league position.
Perhaps it was always meant to be that this season was about the manager bedding in (along with several key signings) and that next season is when we are going to kick on. Morale is...
Spurs got to a semi final and might yet win a trophy.
So no, as much as it's amusing to see them where they are in the league, it hasn't really cheered me up this weekend.
What would actually cheer me up is if my own team played as they are capable of playing.
Yeah me too. Mind you, I used to love spending time in the snooker club on St Cross Road. We're going back 35 years though! I wonder if it's still there?
Well probably.
But you're as bad as each other in this instance: you with your faux outrage at Labour - you were nowhere to be seen while the Tories sat on it, so I'm afraid faux is exactly what it is - and him with his needlessly patronising response to your faux outrage.
Anyone who understands economics knows why American healthcare is so expensive.
* They preach "competition" but allow cartels to sell medicine at stupid prices
* They preach "competition" but fail to recognise the economies of scale that any national health service benefits from more-or-less...
Well MPs tend to pair off don't they? But I don't disagree that the optics are quite shocking, because we're talking about the real lives of people (children!) here. Pair off when there's a debate on interest rates, not on this subject FFS.
As for the outrage on this thread from @Chicken Run...
