Yes I wish I could post "so excited" on every match day thread, or whinge on every single tom and jerry thread. That would be much less dull.
Can't wait for NSCs Roy Cropper lookalike to come back at me. : 🥱
Apart from Zeberdi, you're the dullest Tory bore on the board. An utter spanner. So I don't give a tuppenny fck what you think. Sorry.
"So excited" 🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱
I disagree and suspect the club does too. Steele is the ideal back up keeper - he's a senior player, settled, respected and more than happy to fulfil the role of Premier League back up keeper. He's not the type to go angling for a move after every uptick in form.
Our backup keepers are...
Former Brighton player, but I bumped into Danny Wilson in a tea shop in the Peak District about 7 years ago. Obviously that's his neck of the woods, so perhaps not that strange.
Pervis has given good service and deserves a cash cow contract at a crap but big club like Man United, where expectations are probably at an all time low.
I wouldn't mind betting we already have an upgrade lined up. :lolol:
If that all works out, he'd get an enthusiastic clap from me if he...
I know there's a difference but not an appreciable one. In both cases, fans are coerced into buying tix for a lower demand event in order to position themselves at the front of the queue for the main attraction. If Villa had given loyalty points for reserve games instead of women's games, the...
You know this club has done this sort of thing down the years. One time in the 70s you had to go to a reserve game to guarantee a ticket for a big league cup game (Derby maybe?). Over 10,000 turned up, which was justified as the crowd for the later league cup game was over 33,000.
As for this...
Yep, a towering header I recall. I was a matchday sponsor for that one.
We've since played and beaten them once in the Amex years - a 1-0 league cup win a month after the Amex opened.
The people in charge of our purse strings are more concerned with looking for value rather than the price. If they decide there's value in a player, even at £40m, then they'll be in for him.
They'll never say this publicly though - as others have said, that forces the price upwards as it lets...
The truth (and I know I was the OP) is that this is where I am. I do think we can challenge for the top 4 with a couple of SHREWD additions. I'm expecting Liverpool to drop back slightly but unfortunately one or two of the big clubs will progress to nearer that level. We will do well to...
