It's not exactly a vintage night on here is it in terms of interesting threads?
Anyone got anything really interesting to say (Albion related or otherwise) before I call it a night? No pressure like!
That 6-1 defeat on the plastic at Oldham was a low point. Freezing cold and at the time , for reasons no-one could quite fathom , there was always trouble between Oldham and Albion fans. We came out of the away end to find about 30 Kevin Websters waiting for a ruck. Had to take a huge...
A Jags win , even with a last gasp FG against the Colts , in no way makes up for a Gators defeat. Fortunately UF lose so rarely it's not something I have to contemplate too often and normal service will be resumed next weekend when LSU are humbled in Gainesville. Truer to say that another...
So I broke into the palace
With a sponge and a rusty spanner
She said I know you and you cannot sing
I said that's nothing you should hear me play piano
and
Frankly Mr Shankly since you ask
You are a flatulent pain in the arse
I do not mean to be so rude
But still I must speak frankly Mr Shankly
Ok I know it's only Monday but for those of us outside the reach of Sky can anyone suggest a way of catching the Bournemouth game live? Alternatively I'll take any suggestion for a pub/bar in the North Florida (Central Florida at a push!!) area that is showing the game but imagine there is more...
There are no Majestic Wines here in Florida unfortunately. The closest is Total Wine but they usually stock Paulaner Weissbier so might take a look today to see if they have the Octoberfest. There are a surprising number of (proper) US breweries doing Octoberfest beers - some good some not so...
Just enjoying a nice cold bottle of Beck's Oktoberfest and rather splendid it is too. Samuel Adams Octoberfest is also very good again this year. (unlike the Harvest Pumpkin Ale which will make you yearn for someone to shit in your mouth to get rid of the taste). Any other autumn beer...
Used to do the commuting to London thing in another life (for 17 years!!) and on a good day was out of the house for about 13 hours. Now it's an easy 40 minute drive to and from work meaning typically leave home about 8am and back around 6. Never going back!!
Likewise - congratulations on not beimg bottom. Still reckon it's another long (but ultimately successful) fight against relegation for you though.
Last night was perfect. My wife went to wine (officially book) club leaving no distractions for Kentucky 14 Florida 48. Trey Burton beat the club record for number of touchdowns in a game - six!! Away to Bama next Saturday which is huge but I think we have a shot.
The Albion top of the...
Don't mean to be a pedant but you're confusing Paul Dickov with Paul Moulden who played upfront with Cotterill in that opening day of the season 3-2 defeat at Brisbane Road. You're right about the away end being packed though.
Today I have been moulding plasticine
And I made a little man who looked just like me
His limbs were so weak
And he couldn't move his mouth to speak
And I could bend him into any shape I wanted him to be
Bury for me. Still remember talking to Neville Neville on the phone when donating 20 quid to help save them a few years back. I think they had more contributions from Brighton fans than any other club. All of which has absolutely zilch to do with their chances of winning the league this...
They disgust me. There aren't words for what they are. Well there are a few but this is a family board. Sibling shagging tax dodging scumbags. Long may their winless start to the season go on. Until early May would do nicely.
