    Orient v Charlton

Might have not might of. I am a pedant about these things by the way but perhaps those of you who are usually irritated by this type of thing might look the other way since it's a poorly educated Palace chav on the receiving end this time?

Will he be on the bench????

Can Poke really be that bad? Put another way has anyone seen enough of him yet to totally dismiss the bloke in the way some fans seem to be doing? I remember a time when Guy Butters was public enemy no 1 among the fans. I gather he (Poke) was a little unconvincing in the friendlies and made...

    Gratuitous dig at portsmouth

So how many of the self styled most loyal/hard done by fans in football will be at Fratton on Saturday - or put another way how many will the cheating tax dodging inbreds have lost now that the Premiership has moved to Blackpool? Looking at their opening fixtures (Reading , Preston , Cardiff ...

    Harty's Column-Leon Knight

Might not be everyone's cup of tea but back in the dark days of our history he did an awful lot to ensure that we still have a club to follow. I don't know him well but have always found him to be a decent bloke.

The sign here if you hate Pompey thread

Signed with enthusiasm. At a loss to find the words to express my disgust with this. What are the rules on points deductions? Does the fact that they have this ludicrous CVA in place get them off the hook? I thought being in admin - which they still are - meant an automatic points...

    Pompey - ha ha!

I couldn't believe that statement from their barrister. Basically saying that if the judge finds in favour of HMRC that will be the end of Portsmouth FC. So how is that different from basing a murder defence on the basis that if the accused is found guilty he'll go to jail? Really hope justice...

Any one else who has never driven a car?

Actually I was told recently that Stevie Wonder does drive on his estate. Could be total bollocks of course and make me the most gullible person ever.

    Julianne Hough - The Injustice!

She was a dancer in the first few seasons of Dancing with the Stars over here. Was rumoured to shag every one of the "stars" and ever since has been charmingly referred to by my wife as a "star fucker". Patsy Kensit was the last person to have that moniker in our house!

    bloody muggy evening

Y'all don't know you're born. It's 88F here in Florida at 10.30 at night. High of 99F today but the "feel like" (whatever the hell that is) was around 110. Can't really relate to the first post complaining about it being 18C (think that's about 64F?). Would imagine that feels a bit brass monkeys.

    Portsmouth travails in the USA

I've said it before but it's worth repeating. I hate the cheating inbred scum and look forward to passing water over their grave at a later date.

    Now...........have i got this right?

I've long been puzzled by the attitude of the FA etc to our inbred friends. Seem to remember a lot of reports all pre-season long about points deductions for Luton , Bournemouth , Leeds and Rotherham among others when they were in admin. I'm genuinely at a loss as to why minus 17 hasn't...

    Shawshank Redemption

I'm a bit puzzled by some of the hostility here to be honest. Don't recall ever becoming so wrapped up in a film that it led to a disappointing incontience incident. To balance the scales a bit and show how everyone's tastes are different I found Glengarry Glenn Ross tedious. But then I'm no...

West Ham Fan's letter to the board.

That bloke runs the "The Ball is Round" website. He's a good friend of EFW's Half Man Half Biscuit - hence the Lewes connection. Lives in Essex I believe. I wonder whether if with a couple more years of the economy being in the toilet subscriptions to Sky will drop through the floor meaning...

    Shawshank Redemption

Fabulous film , one of my favourites. Not a true story though but based on the short story Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption by Steven King. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman are both excellent in that film.

We're a team of freaks apparently

According to the report from the Bognor website Glenn Murray and Chris Holroyd both have 2 heads and Mitch Walker could only get a small hand on the equalising goal. Does this mean Walker has some sort of Beadle-esque type affliction?

Jamie Smith signs for another year

I'm going to stand up for Juan Albion here. I'm a pedant when it comes to the English language as well. Join us if you don't want our wonderful language to morph into some sort of chav txt spk. LOL. Innit.

    Why?

Nail on the head Lush although I comfort myself that I'm not the worst parent in history because her actual birthday isn't until Monday.

Good beer in the us of a shocker

I spent the afternoon watching the tedium of the Spain vs Paraguay game in a bar in a strip mall in NE Florida where my day was unexpectedly brightened by draft Radeberger and draft Erdinger. HFD. Now back home I think I'll take the top off a nicely chilled Samuel Adams Blackberry Whitbier...
