I doubt clubs want to be seen as advocating a 'standing area' when regulations say the stadia (for the top two divisions anyway) should be full-seater. Even though the regulations are nonsense and there are no safety issues with standing at a designated seat.
For some reason I feel more happy for Ireland than I do frustrated and disappointed for England. Maybe it will provide the kick up the backsides the team needs, as I havent been at all convinced by us in the field. If we don't improve I wouldn't even fancy us to get through the group stage...
That's precisely the problem, clubs should be able to accommodate both types of fans rather than having them create a nuisense for each other.
It's not a case of who's in the wrong -there's nothing wrong in principle with fans wanting to stand, it just shouldn't conflict with kids/families/the...
I hope you're right Brovion... I just wish the clubs and authorities would use some common sense, but until it becomes more of a problem or more important stakeholders support the campaign they just aren't interested.
I voted Southampton as I believe they are the most likely to build up a dangerous run of momentum. Bournemouth and Huddersfield have been on our heels pretty much all season - if they had what it takes to overtake us I believe they would've done it by now (but they are still in the running of...
Awful from Arsenal, totally unacceptable. Well done Birmingham City, both their fans and players were clearly up for it and deserve this piece of history for them.
Arsenal could barely manage more from one song, the support from the fans sounded like an average day at the Emirates.
Whilst it is obviously very similar to our old badge, I don't agree at all with the idea that it is retro. On the contrary, I actually think it's quite modern looking and minimalist - if anything our current badge has more of an older feel to it.
I don't think I'd actually change anything about...
Apologies if theres already a thread, but I haven't seen one for this stand on the issue.
Just wondering from those of you that have been to a presentation in the last week or so, how is the North Stand filling up? How far back can you go now for odd seats?
I know WSU is filling up but there...
I've only ever been a white member and I've been given a letter inviting me to book a presentation. So anyone on the database can definitely do it now...
They might be clamping down on people signing up to white with no ticket history simply to beat the general sale, but I doubt they are. I'm...
We should hold their hands from Preston Park station and skip our way to the Withdean. "You score first." "No YOU score first!" etc.
Nah, in all seriousness, I really hope they can survive and turn their misfortunes around. I lived in Plymouth for 3 years and have Argyle supporting mates so I...
This seems such an obvious thing to do, would definitely improve the competition. Thing is, the ICC clearly just want the big teams playing each other as much as possible - they don't care about cricket overkill as long as they can get away with as many matches as possible.
The issue is really about long distance supporters. We are much less likely to know (or have easy access to) Albion fan friends that will be up for going to a match with minimal notice.
I'm still undecided on getting a ST as I'd fall into the category this thread is about, but if I did I'd have...
