    Hasn't Arch*r done well!

Yep well said. 'Sir Albion', wind-up or no wind-up, i'm afraid you sound like a complete twat. Some/many of us decide to retain our grudges against the scum who tried to destroy our club, and funnily enough we still manage to have lives, and happy ones at that. Ian Baird's Fist started a...

How are you spending your albion free afternoon?

I'm just bored.:( Wanted to watch the Swansea match on tv but i don't have Sky and pretty sure all the local pubs will be showing Stoke/Liverpool (understandably). So i shall remain bored.

Kettering V Fulham debate raging as to why it is not on TV

Are they showing all 5 that you mention? Of them i'd ditch the Forest/Derby game. Yeah its a rivalry, but they're both fairly shit (last night not included). Hartlepool deserve a tv game after beating Stoke plus there's a decent chance of an upset there. And personally i think the...

Kettering V Fulham debate raging as to why it is not on TV

Agreed. Been there done that. Yes its two 'big' teams, but its BORING. They played each other in the fourth round last year, and that was on tv too wasn't it? I haven't seen which of Setanta or ITV are showing it, but i guess they decided that they'd get a more global audience? Not me though.

    DO IT:thumbsup:

    Thrilla in Manila

Yep, a very interesting programme. Really didn't paint Ali in a particularly good light, but thats just one point of view i suppose. Ali is a fascinating individual; some of the snippets they used were dodgy when seen in isolation, like his interview with Parkinson where he's describing Frazier...

What was the best BLOCKBUSTER of 2008 ?.

Incidently US i'm not having a pop at your comments about IJ4 there (only read them after i'd posted mine). Just me own opinion loike.

What was the best BLOCKBUSTER of 2008 ?.

Haven't seen many of these but i'm going to vote for Batman anyway; thought it was very good. 'Blockbusters' usually have too much cheese for me, but Batman was nice and dark. Wanted, on the other hand, was FOCKIN DREADFUL. Really couldn't believe how bad it was. I thought Indiana Jones was...

    Katyn massacre

A very interesting read on a very interesting thread. But dammit Dandyman, i was just about to go and get a Norman Davies book! Now i'm not sure.. Knew you'd get involved in this debate sooner or later though.

Family Guy - last night on BBC3

I pretty much agree with that. 'Classic' Simpsons is better all round, and it interesting what you say about it trying to immitate Family Guy; i saw a newer Simpsons recently and thought it was pretty terrible, which is something i never thought i'd say. However Family Guy has always had a more...

    Expat forum?

Yep i think its a nice idea Sim. Not only would it help the expats organise get-togethers, but also people who are just visiting an area and want to meet some other Seagulls. I had a bit of a mare trying to see an Albion game on tv while in Dublin a few years back (got there in the end though...

Family Guy - last night on BBC3

Well, yeah, it seems like it is, according to the Wikipedia list that Chappers posted too. Although that list is different to the dvd's and videos i own. There are some episodes that it says are on Series 5 that i definitely have on either 4 or 6??? And my Series 1 video(s) seems to combine a...

Family Guy - last night on BBC3

Saw a Family Guy last night, literally had me in tears of laughter. Did anyone see it? I think it might be from the new Season 7? The Griffin ’s set up their own restaurant or something. Anyway the plot is irrelevant; the main bit that tickled me was when Peter and Lois are sitting watching...

Songs that just appear to be cynical marketing ploys

Funny you should mention this, i was just talking to a workmate about the tendency of British bands to write songs about America, which invariably have 'America' somewhere in the title. Always seems to me like a blatant ploy to try and squeeze onto MTV. Razorlight - take a bow

    Lewes Bonfire Night

heheh, fair enough. I'd heard some similar comments before and expected a couple of responses like this. Any other thoughts people?

    Lewes Bonfire Night

Just wondered if anyone has any quick info on this year's do? I've had trouble finding stuff on the internet. - is it on the 5th itself? - i've heard that non-Lewes residents are advised to go to their own displays?! True? just wondering, loike

Get your arses up to Peterborough on Tuesday...

I'll be there, but its going to be an incredibly painful experience unless i can nab a lift back to Brighton afterwards. I've posted on the 'away travel' section, but in case anyone missed it - pm me if you can help with a lift back from Peterbro, cheers

    Levi Stubbs Tears (RIP)

What a shame. Total LEG END. I had the honour of seeing the Four Tops at the Albert Hall a couple of years ago. They looked ancient n'all, but it was still great. I shall be spending the rest of the evening listening to the Four Tops. RIP Levi
