Shocking end to a great nights viewing.I've ended up disliking the 'greatest'.

Yea saw that, very eye opening.

Looks like he was a right c*nt to Frazier. Was obviously trying to build up a good fight but didn't know where to draw the line. Seems he has tried to apologise since but Frazier won't have it. Now Frazier believes Ali is paying the price lol.

I have a book on Ali and he goes out of his way to let the reader know that Frazier was one of the few people to hurt him and that he was the opponent he feared the most.

Sounds like guilt at the way he treated him.As Frazier said,Ali has never apologised to his face and to stoke up racial tension by calling him an uncle Tom in 70's America was low.

Yep, a very interesting programme. Really didn't paint Ali in a particularly good light, but thats just one point of view i suppose. Ali is a fascinating individual; some of the snippets they used were dodgy when seen in isolation, like his interview with Parkinson where he's describing Frazier as "worse than you (Parky) to me".

I thought the documentary did a really good job of getting the viewer to feel just how brutal the fight was. I was exhausted at the end!

When We Were Kings is also excellent (apart from the godawful musical montage cheesefest at the end).

Wow. That was cuffing BRILLIANT.
I loved Frasiers comments near the end. "Man, there was only one winner of that fight. The proof is in the pudding. Look at me - I'm still having fun. Now look at him..." *grins*
