In the early years after the split, Adams played in a few "PDC" tournaments (although I don't think it was called the PDC then). I think he may have reached the semis of the Matchplay at Blackpool.
As I recall, probably wrongly, the PDC wanted to tie the players down to committing to most or...
John Henderson qualified through an open qualifier last weekend where I think 4 players got through out of 250 entries. Seen him play before, on his day he is certainly very capable.
I know he doesn't get invited any more, but it's a shame Martin Adams never took up the chance to play.
Not sure that Woking will necessarily be any more positive despite being at home. Although we didn't show it on Saturday, they will know that we are quite capable of picking them apart if they over-commit.
I think the onions, once they've been peeled, should be left in salted water for at least 24 hours with a plate and weight on them to keep them submerged. It's something to do with osmosis I think, drawing the moisture out of the onions to help make them nice and crunchy.
Not a great fan of needles, but I was asked to go along a few years ago by a friend. Just don't look is the best advice.
My last donation got me up to 25 and my silver medal.
However, I am a bit worried that all my donations might have a foaming real ale head on them.

I think with traillists, if they've come from a club in another country, no international clearance is necessary, although there is a restriction on the number of matches they can play (2??)
We've signed the Argentinians, so we've got to wait for the paperwork to clear.
Not read the whole thread so hope I'm not repeating what's alrerady been said.
FIFA are completely anti technology.
Can't remember where I heard (or think I heard) it, but the FA were prepared to trial it, but were told in no uncertain terms by FIFA that they were not permitted to do so.
They used to be subdivided into two or sometimes three groups, but decided that they would prefer to all be in one big group.
Most of the matches are double headers so the European based players will generally play two matches per visit.
I think it would have to be restricted to situations of fact (ball crossing the line) rather than opinions (was it a free kick or not). Free kicks, penalties etc. are the opinions of the referee and as such probably not reviewable.
However, whether you would then be able to make a challenge...
