I think that we lost to the eventual winners possibly. As one pudit said Germany have never gone more than 20 years without winning it and last won it in 1990, 20 years ago.

Although i will probably have this thrown back in my face in a couple of weeks, i really dont fancy Germany to progress any further. England were woeful, there was no passion no commitment and certainly no quality. If Germany could have picked an opponent, i bet we would have been up there.

Yup. I think you're spot on there.

Germany's defence will be exposed I reckon. Their two centre halves have the turning circle of a cruise ship. Messi, Higgy, and Carlos will expose them I reckon.

The spirit in the Argentina camp is my main reason for thinking they could go all the way, they have the skill and they have the spirit and belief. I honestly think they will win it.

Thanks for confirming 1990 was 20 years ago.

I don't think you'll make a pundit by the way - 'I think that we lost to the eventual winners possibly'.

Portugal at the beginning. No reason to change my mind.

Second choice: Holland

Wow, what a revelation. The pre-tournament third favourites and two-time winners who are one of the few teams to have a quarter-final place confirmed are being backed. Hardly a bold prediction is it.

AND having the most prolific scorer in Europe (possibly world) last season in Suarez.

I said Spain beforehand, I said Spain after the first game and I say Spain now

I have a feeling that Uruguay may go far, although Argy for me.
