Interesting on sky they completely made up a quote of their own:

‘Brighton have no intention of selling in this window. Last week, head coach Roberto De Zerbi said: "The best solution is that he finishes the season with us and in the summer he changes teams."’

He didn’t say that at all. And what he meant was clearly ‘if he’s going to change teams it would be better in the Summer’

Unfortunately he did say that. And that's probably why he shouldn't talk about stuff that could be misconstrued due to his English !!!

He didn’t - they’ve changed the wording for it to sound completely different imo.

'I hope he finishes the season with us, but you know in the transfer market it is always difficult to give you one answer.

'When there are some bigger teams and they want one of our players, it is good news for us.

'The best solution for us is he can finish the season with us.

'Next summer, for him, is better to change team.'

And what he meant was clearly, if he’s going to go, it would be better in the Summer.

Like others I'd be very disappointed if he left in this window but wouldn't begrudge him a move in the summer for the right price.

I still have to pinch myself at the thought of us unearthing and developing a £100 million player, quite incredible.

Maths (like english) isn't my strong point but we must have near half a billion worth of talent in this squad, I never thought we'd progress to this level. What a time to be an Albion fan!

Sussex Live website really masquerades as making an effort. 95% of their Albion stories on Cacaido, Mac and transfers in general are all billed as news and come from the Albion Roar interview in December. But what's even more annoying is that I keep clicking on them, thinking I've found an update.

I'm glad it's not just me.

Over the last couple of days I've looked at both "Sussex Live" and "Sussex World" for the first time and it's absolutely shocking bottom-of-the-barrel-scraping shit they churn out.

Examples:

Headline: 'A thrill' - Brighton talent has already set his sights on Liverpool target ahead of Amex game
About: Mitoma playing Liverpool
Detail: Quote from programme notes from Mitoma from before the league game
Any connection to now/upcoming game: Absolutely none at all
Headline: 'Doesn't make sense' - Paul Barber has made it clear what Brighton's transfer plan is
About: Albion's pay structure
Detail: Quote from Barber on the Albion Roar last year
Any connection to now: Tenuous at best
Headline: 'I think you would' - Brighton talent makes Liverpool FA Cup tie point after Amex humbling
About: Evan Ferguson talking about facing Liverpool again after beating them
Detail: Short quote taken from the official club website
Any connection to now/upcoming game: Yes, but short quote taken from elsewhere and turned into a full-blown article of fluff
Headline: Brighton captain Lewis Dunk reflects on his Liverpool 'disappointment' ahead of FA Cup tie
About: Lewis Dunk talking about Liverpool away fixture
Detail: Quote taken from programme notes of game v Arsenal in December
Any connection to now/upcoming game: Absolutely none at all
Headline: Significant Moises Caicedo development confirmed by agent amid Chelsea and Arsenal transfer
About: Caicedo joining new agent
Detail: Sweet FA. As the article itself states: "Quite how this impacts any potential transfer this window remains unclear,"
Any connection to now: Absolutely none at all. No developments are confirmed by anyone.

Yep, and better summer 2024 (although January 2024 might be as far as we can push it)..

I’m comfortable we will have him until the summer, particularly after what he said. Why would we sell? It would be ruining our chances of Europe, big time. Id be fuming if we did sell him. He’s worth too much for us in terms of our current position, Im starting to genuinely hate chelsea just as much as Palace. Potter is an absolute ****.

True about Potter, Quite a few got brainwashed by him which was hilarious. Some still appear to be which is just sad.

It was always project Potter. He cultivated the press and they loved it. He became the ' go to ' manager for the quote of the moment, some audible sucking of breath, chin stroking and carefully selected soundbites. It was all going to plan until a few frustrated boos accompanied the Leeds home game. Then, the real Potter emerged. Clearly rattled, throwing his arms about and swearing, followed by a rather unfortunate comment about history lessons etc. It was at that point that a lot of fans should have spotted the obvious display of character.
Having jumped from a solid, well run club to car crash alley, where the new owner of the up-market sweet shop is hellbent on continually re-stocking with new goodies and where the shop manager loves constantly changing things, is a match made in heaven.
Our shop contains some very nice goodies and they would like to get their hands on them. They made a dawn raid only a few months ago and bulk bought a lot of our core lines, which didnt go down well with our customers, who were faced with bare shelves for a while. Our shop owner, however, has a different plan. He is playing the long game. Our nice goodies are still well within date life. When they get short, like our unpredictable seller, Lemonado Trossachocard, we unload.
Until then, play around in your expensive sweet shop, full of expensive goodies and fck off.

If you look through jacobs lityle Q&A on twitter from yesterday he actually says that Moises now wants the move.
depends how you read it. his wording is caicedo wants the move now but isn't the type to force it. does he mean that he wants the move this window and that's always been the case.or does he mean that he's changed his mind and wants the move now

I thought some on here said he’d signed a new deal, but I can’t find anything bar the original 4.5 year one?

This tweet is very clear. He means that Caicedo wants the move now and in this window. This is a total and unacceptable lie. I guarantee you 100% that he has not had a conversation with our player regarding this. I don’t where he has dug up this toxic bullshit but it’s absolutely not the case. Even if Moises and his agent want a move, both will realise that a summer move (at the earliest) is best for all parties (our club, the agent, the player) for lots and lots of reasons. The main one being that he’ll probably have a choice of Manure, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea and that he can select a team with Champions League football for next season.

**** off Jacobs.

I suspect he has talked to his new agent.

I can see a scenario where the agent has asked Moises "If I can get the club to agree to a move in this window, would you accept it?"
I'm sure he would say something positive to that. Doesn't mean Caicedo is angling for a move though.
