    Madness of the Transfer Window

I certainly did not think he would go like that! FWIW as a non Brighton fan, of course he has done well for you, but everything was on his side...it was yhe best time in your history to become Manager and he owes you a lot for that chance. Your Leadership have their heads screwed on and look...

Thanks. It got largely slated when I posted it at the time but I could understand that.

    Madness of the Transfer Window

Wrote this today about the summer window, many themes that I see from browsing about on here. http://betweenthelinesuk.wordpress.com/2013/06/25/transfer-window-madness-2013/ My Poyet blog from a few months ago also makes an interesting read with the benefit of hindsight...

    Poyet NOT to Reading thread

Re: Poyet to Reading thread, massively odds on, (maybe) in talks with them [merged] Jonny Fordham from local Reading rag is on holiday skiing but could be set to return home for presser tomorrow. Source: His Twitter Looks like it could be off the slopes and into a press conference tomorrow...

    Nigel Adkins

Fair enough. To be honest Adkins record is unlikely to be something he can keep up over the course of a career as 4 promotions in 7 seasons (at least 3 automatic) is very, very good and currently is far superior to what Poyet has achieved, albeit over a longer time period.

    Nigel Adkins

Very clever not to include Adkins stats from his two L1 promotions with Scunthorpe whose budget was miniscule. He also kept 5k Scunny up once which was a great achivevement and then took Saints up with successive promotions. I think he has 4 promotions in 7 seasons (4/6 if you discount the...

No stats needed, Adkins record as a Manager is better than Poyets.

    Poyet NOT to Reading thread

Re: Poyet to Reading thread, massively odds on, (maybe) in talks with them [merged] Im not a Brighton fan and clearly Poyet won't be leaving to join Reading.

    Nigel Adkins

    Results largely suggest otherwise.

Poyet starting to feel some pressure?

Interesting Gus comment in todays paper: "Maybe people like to play ugly and win, so then you need a different manager." I think people just like to win, and its certainly possible to win playing nice football. Comments like this are always funny because nobody asks anyone to start playing...

Poyet starting to feel some pressure?

I think he would have expected at the start of the season (as many did here) to be doing a little better. He has been well supported in the transfer market but there always seems to be another piece required in the jigsaw before promotion is a realistic ambition.

Poyet starting to feel some pressure?

Because its not the popular opinion so it must be trolling.... End of the day if you dont like the article fair enough, but enough fans here have said they agreed with parts of it so its hardly that outrageous!

Poyet starting to feel some pressure?

Nobody knows really. Depends what his target was at the start of the season.

    You are so wrong.

Poyet starting to feel some pressure?

It's up to you what you think. I said in the OP that I'm not a Brighton fan but live in the City which is true. I have written an article that has generated various opinions, some agree, some dont which is fair enough - I can understand all opinions. I think it's decent and well researched...
