While I would be the first to admit I am feeling flat going into the new season, I do not think we will get relegated. How anyone can conclude the Albion are more likely to get relegated than Watford, Brentford, Norwich is a tad surprising. Despite some flaws the squad is still strong:

Sanchez, Gross, March, Veltman, Dunk, Webster, Bissouma, Mwepu, Lallana, Trossard, Maupay.

subs include: Moder, MacAllister. To come: Lamptey, Caicedo, Welbeck, Scherpen.

I don't think it's outrageous to think that without strengthening in key areas, we might struggle this year. We know how good we can be, but results are key. Who scores the goals that turn draws into wins?? Who comes off the bench to make a real difference with pace and trickery against tired defences??

3 signings needed LB, ST and a pacey winger that can carry the ball (extra CB would be good too if Roberts isn't yet ready)

Lockdown 1 kept us up. Potter used it to its full, it halted our horrendous negative EPL momentum and allowed the squad a welcome psychological reset. We were one of the winners. [Funnily enough, 90% of nsc’ers wanted 2019/20 null and voided in May 2020, for high moral reasons for humanity …. of course :lolol:].

Sheffield United, for example, suffered the exact opposite and in fact never did recover.

Yes THIS. I thought I was praising Potter and Lamptey?

Because he's played against Potter, played with Welbeck and knows most of the players who other sides have brought in. Has the 4-4-2 teaboy?

Lmao. No way you would have posted this thread or much less seen Ben Foster as some kind of omnipotent football pundit unless he had backed your pathetic agenda.

Yes I agree - it’s very frustrating. I just thought if both poles and Zak were £19 odd mil that is pretty shot as only Moder looks like making it at present tbh… But time will tell.

I’m normally not frustrated easily with the way the club do things but the transfers in is starting by to annoy me now.

I think Moder was around €11m so around £8.5m but paid in instalments.

I accept the need for patience, we’re not a money bags club like the supposed top 6 sides and those with new wealth like Villa and that the window ‘slams shut’ at the end of the month but it is very frustrating when you see other clubs like say Southampton do a replacement for Ings so damn quickly yet we know we’ve needed someone at LWB/LB and a forward whilst knowing that we’d be selling White and getting quite a bit of the fee up front.

And breath…

At least we’re not Burnley who have signed **** all at the moment.

The only prediction I’m taking any notice of is Giraffe Staying Up Tracker.

Is it nearly ready, oh long necked one?

So you don't think the fact that our first home game is against WATFORD or that Foster is a far more successful blogger than either of us comes into it at all?

We all know who to BOOOOO now.

Nevertheless, he is far more in a position to judge than even Lineker or Ian Wright who haven't seen anything other than the inside of a TV studio for years. It won't stop me posting predictions or making bets either but you can't dismiss his current knowledge.

The Watford keeper has us down to get relegated. Oh well, we’ll see

Regarding our signings things could all change very quickly. For all we know deals for Cucurella and Edouard being negotiated right now. I feel any other deals could come completely out of the blue, a centre back from the Championship for example after zero rumours. Hold the nerve!

If Watford play as they did against us, you will comfortably beat them.

They were clueless.

Let's hope so. You two don't exactly get on either though, do you?

Anyway, Potter fans think that posting a widely available video is part of a pathetic agenda while Brighton fans might want to have a reason to BOOO Foster.

Yeah, I agree. So many threads full of posts from people determined to be miserable about the transfer window before it has even closed. I predict the full bipolar swing from relegation to top 6 once we close a couple of deals.
