[Football] Police call for cocaine users to be banned from football after Euros mayhem

I don’t think a lot of the older generation realise just how common cocaine is nowadays. I can safely say that it’s rampant in youth culture and that includes the north stand at Brighton games. Ridiculously easy to get hold of now and completely rampant in a lot of situations.

Not just youth culture to be fair. It's entrenched in the middle-aged middle-class culture too IMO

Custodial sentences for offenders, or a good kicking for being so bloody stupid.....or both. I've worked with idiots who have buggered up their life and those around them. A non compliance to society rules deserves a segregation

How old is the “older generation” in your opinion? I think it’s fair to say that a very large number of 45-60 year olds were part of the original rave generation and subsequent dance scene so it certainly wouldn’t be uncommon or surprising for any of them. In fact if anything I’m suprised at how lightweight the youth are these days with their prolific use age of balloons [emoji23].

Yep that will be a fantastic use of taxpayer funds spending £45k a year to keep them in prison for the audacity of having a good time.

The most empty bags I’ve ever seen in one place was in one of the pubs toward Brighton station before we played Palace at home a few years ago.

You'd imagine the North Stand would be a bit more lively if they were coked-up...

Having a good time? At the same time that a good-time Charlie is snorting a line of coke in the pub bogs someone in Colombia or Mexico is being murdered in never ending drug wars. The price of cocaine is paid with blood, and if you are an end-user a splash of that blood is on your hands. Sorry, it's just a fact.

Stupid question being a bit naive about these things, but if it's so easy to get hold of doesn't that make finding the dealers easy for the police too?

F*ck knows really, was basing it on the fact that my mum was flabbergasted I did it when she found it, seeming I’m a fat dickhead 27 year old lager lout I’d assume she knew, obviously that wasn’t the case :lolol:

To be fair, Balloons are a good laugh.

‘ Police want the power to ban football fans who take cocaine at matches, over concerns that the drug could be driving disorder and violence.

Some England supporters were filmed openly snorting white powder at Wembley and elsewhere in London during the Euro 2020 final, which saw large numbers of ticketless people force their way into the stadium.’

I’ve never seen this at the Albion. Have seen a few people on NSC boasting about it though.

You're not mixing with the right people
