Shirley any player that can improve the starting eleven would be a good signing?

Not when the money, which is obviously in short supply, is needed elsewhere

I think you are correct about Andone, but I also think that is a mistake. Similarly I don’t agree we should renew Welbs contract but rather invest in a new younger striker likely to be able to play more games

So you think we should get rid of two of the three proven top level strikers that we have and buy someone else.

You do remind me of my wife, only happy when you're spending someone else's money and not too bothered what it's being spent on :lolol:

I was commenting on your maths. If we have it completely wrong (100%) then perhaps clubs below us are more than 110% wrong. It was a joke.

I really shouldn't have to be explaining this sort of stuff to a grown man.

But, your maths is sh1t, since I didn’t say completely!

I'm detecting a lack of faith on here in the possibilities offered by a Zeqiri-Connolly strike partnership ...

I think that partnership could work very well, however, it needs time to blend and mature, very much like a fine wine. Maybe this will be the go-to pair in a few years time.

Welbz & Maupay are first choice currently and rightly so but I’m hoping we sign a better finisher than that pair in the summer.

And who's to say that after 3 more years, that Zeqiri and Connolly won't be better than Maupay ? (When they also reach the grand old age of 24 )

No just accept that I didn’t say “completely”. This makes you wrong. In your words, I shouldn’t have to explain this to a grown up! [emoji6]

Oh, and some of us have work to do, rather than overdosing on NSC.

Finally, if you don’t appreciate my return to NSC, tough!

Like West Ham and Villa? Really foolish...

West Hams best player this season has been Soucek, who has scored goals from midfield and TURNED US DOWN to join them.

Apart from Grealish,i can think of no other player on either side who would improve our team.Your man Watkins has only scored 3 more goals than Maupay!!!

What about all the expensive dross they have signed? Mings anyone?

This shows you are clueless. Watkins, for example, would have been ideal. Although we could NOT afford him. Then you mentioned Grealish, who is clearly better than we have. Then there is Martinez. Then Soucek, Antonio, Bowen, etc., etc., etc.

Like where?

Improve the starting eleven!!

Would you have signed Lingard on loan?

We need a striker. End of discussion. This has been our top priority since Muzza’s demise 2 years or so ago. So far we have done nothing to address our top squad gap. Well, nothing that has worked well.

We were never even in the discussion for Watkins as Villas wages blew us out the water.

Look, we’re all frustrated we didn’t get “the” striker we wanted in the past few windows. You’re acting like you’re the only person here to think this. I’m sure the club are frustrated as well given we’ve been clearly been chasing targets.

But I think there’s a degree of realism you need to accept. Given the recruitment have largely hit it out the park with every other position I now believe landing a top quality striker is one of the most complex and in demand positions in world football. It’s not FIFA. And as much as you want Tony Bloom to press a button to magically sign a £40m striker who will turn down every other club... a signing like that is not going to happen.
