Cannot understand why Potter doesn’t give Karbo a start. We are missing Solly massively, look unbalanced left side and he did well against Leicester- what’s he done wrong?

Well if nobody else is gonna

Just seems so odd that there is no defensive cover on the bench apart from Steele. Hoping the all get through unscathed

I'm more concerned by the absence of any defender on the bench - if one of our four centre-backs [Dunk, Velts, White, Burn] should get injured or red-carded, who will fill that gap?

Veltman & Burn are fullbacks in this formation and would likely be replaced by Alzate or Pröpper. In turn, they would cover for White & Dunk in the centre.

It is worrying though. I think we’re in desperate need of a left back during the summer. Burn has no natural replacement.

Injury maybe? Little point in bringing him over when we did if we’re not prepared to give him a chance.

Trossard must be ****ing brilliant in training. I think a sack of potatoes would put in more effort. Let's hope he turns up today.

Let’s hope so, I really like Trossard and I think he’s one of our more creative players.
He’s been incredibly unlucky at times, that Manchester United game for example, we could have been talking about an unbelievable hat trick....

Team Trossard today.

Ye. Find it difficult to leave him out. When he is bad, he is really really bad, but when he is good (which he is more often than people care to remember) he is very dangerous and a unique player type in this team. If out of the next eleven games he is shit in six games and the best player in five, thats good enough for me (for the time being). At this point where "consistent runs of results" could go **** itself and its all about scraping those last 8-10 point, I think he needs to be on the pitch. In the summer I think it should be adressed though. Dont mind him being in the squad for next season but a competitor/replacement needs to be found.

Pleased Welbeck starts but disappointed for Mac to be the one to drop out - think he’s been better than both Gross and Trossard recently.

Mac’s not on the bench according to the Albion website, however a new signing Allister is

f,,k sake can’t even get our own players names right

Perhaps Karbo is ill, not injured?

Seems strange, if it was planned that he plays no part in this game, that he didn’t play for the U23s . Has he gone down with a bug since Friday?
Or even the curse that seems to afflict any of our backs, except BDB.

Can see the key battle being in midfield, hopefully we can keep Ward-Prowse quiet. 3 points from this game then Newcastle and things will look brighter

Thoroughly depressing. Again Burn keeps his place whilst we have a Polish international Full back who showed against Leicester he’s more than good enough.

Let's hope he doesn't lose his attacker or has a lapse in concentration today. At LB he is a liability further forward he looks good.

Why do people constantly pick on Burn when starting line ups are announced, in our mini 7 game unbeaten run he was one of our best players, I’m struggling to see why anyone would isolate him as a pick given he’s been no worse than any of the rest of our players in the last few games.

I'll be disappointed with anything less than nine goals today. Get a couple early and a couple more before half time when their heads drop... then come out for the second half completely uninterested and lose 5-4.
