As for knowing racism, no, I've never been a victim and not aware I've been discriminated against but that doesn't preclude me from having an opinion on it. Also, as MM is mixed race, I would suggest she is likely to be in a better position than most on here on knowing what racism is. But I guess you and Mo know better.

I think that his points were robustly countered by Susannah Reid, Alex Beresford, Chris Ship and Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, so there was balance. It made for very good TV. I wouldn't say he was put in his place by the weatherman, I saw two people with equally valid perceptions having a frank exchange.

I think it's a dangerous thing if people cannot express their opinions. Morgan said he thought Meghan was lying, 41,000 people complained because they didn't like what they were hearing and now he's gone. There is a possibility he might be right (she is an actress after all) just as it is equally possible she was telling the truth.

I'm not going to defend him for quitting in the manner in which he did, although I think the GMB gig had long run its course and he's clearly rubbed his colleagues up the wrong way over a long period of time. It will be interesting to see how the ratings for that show go, and how they feel about that.

I don’t really care massively about Piers Morgan but I am pretty anti cancel culture mentality. Now because 40,000 people boo hoo’d someone’s opinion they’ve decided that nobody else should be able to listen to it.

I understand people not liking a show or presenter. I hate Jeremy Clarkson. But it would never cross my mind to make a complaint to ofcom, I just make sure not to watch or listen to him.

But he often ignores her and just carries on anyway.

I really disliked Megahaz until I learnt Morgan’s quit over it, on here! Quite like the ex Royal Couple now.

In all seriousness, I agree with you for similar / same reasons. Never liked. Always struck me as an establishment bully and a grade 1 a***hole. Never paid him much attention consequently.

I’m against Cancel Culture and all opinions should be freely expressed (where legal and within reason .... eg not mocking online the dead former owner of LCFC/the copter crash). That includes from the majority ‘white’ people in this country, from the left and right.

Morgan eventually overstepped the line, with two hours x two days broadcasting obviously unbridled loathing for Markle. Accusing her of being a liar about mental illness and racism, all an act in his eyes. He clearly already hated the woman, her interview took him into overdrive. He was a man possessed.

I genuinely don’t think this was Cancel Culture or busybody liberals censoring free speech.
