Yes. The minimal budget that has provided him:

Neil Maupay - Championship top scorer
Tariq Lamptey - Chelsea wonderkid
Adam Webster - £20m CB
Leandro Trossard - Belgian international
Joel Veltman - Champs league Semi finalist
Danny Wellbeck - Established Premier League striker £70k+ pw wages
Adam Lallana - Champions League winner - Allegedly top earner at club
Alexis Macallister - Argentinian international

Add to that the wealth of Acadamy talent that has matured, two Polish international U21s touted to be huge in the future and now the hottest young property in South American football. People are just making stuff up now to defend Potter.

do you want tony to appoint another manager now?

Bloom sacked Hughton for putting the clubs PL status at risk, he then goes and gets someone worse in  And before someone mentions Cardiff and Bournemouth we all enjoyed our first PL season and the majority of the second.

The second season. We were shite for long periods. In those 3 1-0 wins autumn 2018, we were outplayed from start to finish. Even CH admitted and wasn’t happy.

Respectfully, then a question.

If this is enjoyable, why did you reveal that you didn’t watch the WBA game, because you knew we’d lose.

Shirley you’d still tune in, to watch our passing and creativity, win, draw or lose.

:lolol:

Well, your reply is to a quip of mine. 'Football is all about opinions'. Obviously that's not what I think and, indeed, it's a quote of silly arse comment made by someone like Ron Manager or Alan Partridge on something like Brass Eye. Eat my goal!

OK so I said I'm really enjoying the season. Yes, I did. I am.

I had a bad feeling about the WBA game, and things to do, so I did them. I don't have Sky so it would have meant pestering my scouse mate to pop down and watch. And, as a Liverpool supporter (you can guess the rest  ??? :lolol:).

Anyway, my first objective is to not let things get me down. Any things. The minute I go down the slippery slope over football is the minute I'm in serious trouble. I'm trying to be French about our season. We won? Hooray! We lost? It's almost working

So, I thought I'd post a piece of music for the doom mongers. If you're feeling shit about the Albion, have a slice of this.

Keep your peckers up, everyone. It's only football.

We may have been outplayed in some games, but we still won 9 games, including doing the double over Palace. We won 9 games in our first season.

Can you see us winning another four games?

Our form over the season suggests we won’t. I think we win every six games on average.

I’m genuinely not down at all from our predicament, or the 3.5 years of relentless losing or very rarely winning.

Pissed off on the night, then 24 hours of analysis and venting of my spleen on NSC is therapeutic for me.

I like to think that I don’t get personal against managers. Easy to say nasty stuff, then look silly down the line.

Gardening and fencing/landscaping projects are great for my soul. Fresh air, listening to the radio, getting some early spring sunshine.

Sadly I cannot. We need to play more down to earth workmanlike games now till end of the season dispensing with the tippy tappy stuff which the players aren't good enough for to try and steal the points

It’s dreadful. I never felt that they should have played without fans. It felt wrong from the beginning and I haven’t changed that view.

That said, I still look forward to each game but the games are toothless in the main and glorified pre season friendlies.

Thank god it looks like we may be back to normal next season, but it will take a long time for me to gain any respect back for footballers and those running the game I suspect.

I think that these last 3 season have been very poor in terms of results. That last season under CH was awful, We met him at a function where he gave a talk and he openly admitted that the three 1-0 win performances were unacceptable.

GP (I want him to succeed btw) got out of jail with Lockdown 1 and a long rethink/reset. This time last year we had absolutely no momentum or positives. There were winners from that (us, Manure, West Ham and Villa) and losers (Leicester, SheffU and Watford).

Here are the first two posts made by people digging someone else out.

Rather a lot of huffing, puffing hypocrisy on this thread I feel. I even read an 'I was in Baghdad when you was in dad's bag' style comment above.

Weird.

I appreciate you posting about me but not tagging or quoting me.

I don’t feel I was necessarily digging Mustafa out, merely looking for some consistency. I didn’t call him idiotic, stupid or a prat or any other insulting names, I just asked a question.

Pros of this season:

Attractive football

We’ve seen some real talent come through

Cons of this season:

Still haven’t found a reliable solution to scoring goals in the post-Murray era.

Manager/players naive to the sucker punch (it’s either fitness or tactics - can’t tell which)

Relegation inducing strip (with a collar ffs)

—-

I think most football fans consider themselves to be having a good season if they’re seeing new talent come through and playing attractive football. The missing link for us is obviously scoring goals, and avoiding sucker punches. I’m enjoying the season, seeing us tested against the best. I’ll be disappointed if we’re relegated, and won’t believe it’s through a lack of effort on the management’s part.

So, in summary, I am enjoying the season, and put the blame for our woes on whoever OK’d that kit. After all our woes in front of goal have persisted across several managers and numerous coaches and attacking players.

Whatever division we’re in next year, a return to the “Skint” era kit style please.

Its been OK, if frustrating at time. Some of the nicest football I've ever seen in an Albion shirt just not enough goals

Out of interest, why have you lost respect for footballers?

This season has been stressful but worse than that...... frustrating..
We could have been 12 points better off.

No it’s too late. The time to do it and hope it can make a difference passed about two months ago imo. We are now stuck praying that by some miracle we scrape more points than Newcastle and that Potter can somehow work out how to win another game at home.
