Difficult to believe fishing was held up as the poster boy of Brexit.

A lot of anger out there and nothing from George Useless about compensation for the industry.

Absolutely no remain voter in the real world I know carries on as they do (all grown-ups to be fair). Not sure what it is about social media but it definitely brings out the worst in some people.

Equally, no Leave voter I have ever met in actual real life (apart perhaps from the vermin surrounding politicians outside the House in October 2019) doesn't spend valuable time jeering at Remain supporters whilst simultaneously failing to resist indulging in puerile name-calling involving loons and suchlike. As you say, social media definitely brings the worst out in people, although only some people.

Oh I'm sure you all would get a similar response (or much worse) in real life if you all carried on the way you do on here. Overall, most of the leave voting element on here have been remarkably restrained but then again we have always held the moral high ground [emoji106]

Ooh, here he is. :)

Whilst you're here, fancy chipping in and helping your compadres with a few Brexit benefits, so far? It seems as though there's loads of negatives appearing, so it makes sense to redress the balance, does it not?

British Gas are planning to sack all their staff and rehire them on completely different contracts. Employment rights going downhill rapidly.

Morning,

About 7,000 frontline office workers represented by the Unison trade union accepted the energy company’s new terms last month, and 4,000 non-unionised staff also agreed to sign new contracts.

As usual it seems GMB are central to this!

That doesn't surprise me , being a unison member myself I'm a bit sceptical about their approach they seem to be a union that sides with the employers rather than their members on occasions ,fair play to the GMB for taking a firmer stance on the matter

When that clause was introduced years ago you had the option of signing out of it, maybe you're a bit wet around the ears :dunce:

A fair few of them have been banned for :checks notes: calling people paedophiles, racism and wishing covid on others. Then there are the racists who are still around.

But, yep, remarkably restrained:clap2:

Length of a working week isn't really an issue for you. Maybe you'll be able to spend longer than 48 hours a week in your bedroom highlighting bits of The Sun with a crayon.

Blimey we agree on something. I’ve been in both unions in my working days.
This is affecting an Nsc stalwart from Newhaven.

Watford zero you do like your mentions don't you does that help with your losers mentality. I voted out along with 17.5m other voters which unfortunately for you meant you lost but after 4yrs you can still not get over it. I'll buy you a dummy if you like but knowing you you would spit it out and come out with the same old crap.
Let's give it 40ys and then see where we are. If we are in a worst position I will posthumously admit I was wrong

Good god, I hope you were pissed when you tried to type this, or is English not your first language

You still don't understand any of it do you ? If you believe you understood what you voted for you could simply say what the advantages of a border in the Irish Sea were over the Backstop that was suggested first ? Or maybe the differences, or maybe the impact of either of them on business ? Or indeed any aspect of Brexit whatsoever ? I won't hold my breath

I'll simply await more angry meaningless waffle, completely unrelated to any aspect of Brexit but remember, it wasn't me who stitched you up but here's a clue who did

Woe is who ? It's like watching a Wile E Coyote cartoon where we can all see the train coming and you are looking in the opposite direction :lolol:

But whatever happens, you can still console yourself that you're a winner

Anyway, back on topic again

Exports to EU to plunge by more than one-third because of Boris Johnson’s Brexit trade deal

Total UK trade will nosedive by 13 per cent, according to the London School of Economics (LSE) analysis, making a mockery of the government’s claims of a buccaneering “Global Britain” outside the bloc.

And Britons will feel the pain in their wallets and purses, with income-per-head forecast to fall by 6 per cent – just 2 per cent less than if there had been a no-deal Brexit.

The study came as a cabinet minister rebuffed a call to assess the economic damage from the Christmas Eve agreement, telling MPs it was time to “move forward”.

I wonder why the Government wouldn't want to bring all it's power and expertise to assess exactly what the economic effect would be. Surely it wouldn't be so they could 'move on' and pretend this clusterf*** never happened
