Blimey - what are you doing to be so long on the phone?

I use the agent line too and I'm usually talking to a real person within 20 seconds and bish-bash-bosh.
PAYE line then transferred internally to the debt management dept..... Except not. 3 times. Utter shambles!

Bit harsh.
Ill informed maybe but not arrogant.

The stats prove me wrong and are to your credit, but I recall him being shite. I certainly thought Texiera was better and don’t recall being bothered when Lingard’s loan ended or keen for us to sign him permanently. And that was a level below in the Championship....

Yeah I was a bit harsh, I had the stats :cute:

You've got to admit he's improved at utd, been edged out by some quality signings, and could cover the hole we have in midfield with his eyes closed????

Rumoured to be going on loan to Real Sociedad.

The sooner the better to prevent threads like this.

If true just shows how idiotic some people on here are. Good enough for the team sitting 2nd in La Liga above Barca and Real Madrid but not good enough for us.

Unfortunately Lallana looks as if he will not be match fit for any length of time, but Lingard would be very expensive, an in view of little cash coming in this season would not be for us
.... or maybe give Mac Argie a run of games. Lingard isn't/wasn't all that.

As petty as it is, I still haven't forgiven him for acting like a total bellend away to Derby in the play-offs.

He can f*ck off.

Ah! Thankfully I very rarely need to deal with debt management.
After today I really can't be arsed to elaborate. Well not too much..... [emoji23]

But suffice to say, after speaking to a really nice bloke at the debt collection company (I know, that was a surprise as I was ready for an enjoyable battle) it turns out that HMRC have issued THOUSANDS of incorrect PAYE demands based on assessments when nil returns were correctly filed.

He actually said that it was fine to suspend the debt indefinitely until it was removed by HMRC and no interest, penalties or affect to credit rating will occur.

They've massively ****ed up again. But it's cost me a day of stress and annoyance..... Anyway, Champions League and wine... Oh and Man United are two nil down!

I’ll concede that he might do a job with his eyes open, but still can’t get excited by this I am afraid.

He had a great year with Utd before a good World Cup but has stagnated since then. Who knows why? I think he’s overrated and certainly not worth the wages his new contract garnered. (As an aside:The J Lingz stuff is wanky...)

Anyway, I don’t think he’d join us so who cares what I think

I am amazed that some people rate Jesse Lingard. It's bizarre and not based on reality at all.

Exactly this. The same posters come out with the same thing every time and it's obvious they don't actually watch a lot of football other than Brighton games and just read a bit about it online.

The fact is he's currently a better player than Trossard, Gross, Mac Allister, and Ali J and fitter/younger than Lallana who are the options we currently have in his position. If we had a chance to get him it would be no brainer.

There is absolutely no truth in that opinion at all. If you had watched Lingard play over the last couple of years, you would know how silly that opinion is. He's not a good footballer and even at his best he wasn't a good player. He is totally reliant on quality around him to hide his lack of ability. When you have good players around you, you can hide. When you don't, you get exposed - which Lingard has been. He is no good and whoever is stupid enough to sign him next, probably not a PL club because scouts can only be so bad before being fired, is going to have made a massive and expensive mistake.

He has struggled for a considerable time, but if there is a chance that stuff like this is still in there somewhere, it's not unsurprising that people would want to consider him.

Any player on a pitch for long enough will inevitably contribute something. The worst players you can think of having played with will have done something good at some point, that's just inevitable. Lingard popping in a cracker against Palace, or Panama or any other individual example you can find is fine by me - anybody has the potential and anyone who has been in the game for so long at such a high level has to be capable of doing something. It's a question of how often do they do something? In our position, we need more consistency in output rather than more players who over the course of a season will have a handful of highlights. We have plenty of them already.

I am certain that whoever signs Lingard will regret it, immediately.

Yes, he scored a great goal. I have seen Rohan Ince and Tommy Fraser score great goals too. March and Ali J. have scored crackers. I expect Locadia's highlights video was pretty good as well..................
