His form has dipped somewhat in the past 12 months but that is due to some personal problems. If he's past those it's a definite yes from me, he was probably England's best player at the last World Cup and there is absolutely no way on that form we'd have been able to get him. He's an absolute class act and if you look at the quality Welbz delivers then I am sure we could do the same with JLingz. Would be an incredible coup for the club.

No, don't think he would improve the squad given the expenditure required. Additionally his agent is a ****, and I can't see us getting involved with him.

Definitely marmite then.

For me he takes chances, he digs deep, his attack has got sharp teeth, all qualities we currently lack.

If he was to come in and be a role model for players with a winning mentality and the kind of necessary arrogance it takes to succeed at this level then I'd be all for it. Yeah I know it's all about team blah blah blah.....

I would rather see Moder, Andone and Zeqiri get a chance before we bring in more players.

Izquierdo will be like a new signing too.

Sheff Utd should be all over this. They're desperate for goals and the lad doesn't live a million miles away in his £3 million Cheshire mansion.

For me he was the best loanee that we have had, and he has improved & matured since then. Yes..from me. The downside is that having three senior signings this year could stop our young players progressing...

I don't think he'd come close to my to 10 loan players. That season some he might just edge out Conway or Andrews but Ward was better

If they want goals, why they are considering Lingard?

He is 28 next tuesday and in his best season he wasn't a good player.

Because despite all that he is better than what they have got, and he is available.

Despite 3 hours on the phone to HMRC today (currently 37 minutes on hold on an internal call which was supposed to be put straight through), you always manage to raise a wry smile crodo. Thank you.

He's available because he's a joke. He's got a ridiculous contract that he doesn't deserve or justify and he'll sit on it until it expires and he either retires or goes to Italy or drops into the Championship, ala Micah Richards.

Hopefully he won't start showing up on every TV show in the same way Micah is!

Yes I would love us to sign him.

One, because he is a very good, experienced player and two, because he plays in a position we desperately need someone to play when Lallana is not fit. Last night we were crying out for a link between the midfield and attack and when Lallana is not playing, we don't have anyone else able to play that role.

Thought we could have as many youngsters as we wanted ?

Absolutely agree. Last night our forwards spent the entire second half in midfield looking for the ball.

If potter could tap into his footballing talent then yes please

It would be nice if GPott could tap into the footballing talent he already has before bringing in another player who's all fur coat and no knickers.

No he didn’t
One goal I think and often on the bench

Shite then. Shite now.

Supremely arrogant response from someone talking so much sh1te.

In all comps: 17 appearances, 4 goals, 3 assists. He was not a benchwarmer as his loan agreement specified game time. That's across half a season, Joao Texiera did the other half.

Blimey - what are you doing to be so long on the phone?

I use the agent line too and I'm usually talking to a real person within 20 seconds and bish-bash-bosh.

Unfortunately Lallana looks as if he will not be match fit for any length of time, but Lingard would be very expensive, an in view of little cash coming in this season would not be for us

Bit harsh.
Ill informed maybe but not arrogant.

The stats prove me wrong and are to your credit, but I recall him being shite. I certainly thought Texiera was better and don’t recall being bothered when Lingard’s loan ended or keen for us to sign him permanently. And that was a level below in the Championship....
