So apparently Beilsa was set to sign a new contract 4 weeks ago according to the Leeds chairman. Now it can't be to do with wages, as he has been offered £100,000 a week to sign.
Maybe it's a case of I want Ben White, if you don't get him in off.

Just noticed that he has never managed a league club more than 2 years. The shortest was just 2 days.

Didn't think it was the money that Beilsa was bothered about, if so why pay him that. Also if he was such a superb godlike coach why aren't they queuing up to sign for him. Instead they've signed a few they had on loan and a couple of youth players.

This is true. I wanted to know what Bielsa had won.

Whilst looking I noticed he doesn't stay anywhere too long and can often leave at the drop of a hat.

We can only speculate but he could be waiting for players to be signed, or he could be demanding certain conditions that would allow him to walk away whenever he wants. He seems like quite the character. I actually don't have anything against him. Looks like a solid manager.

In general it looks like the Leeds fans are making everyone's jobs more difficult.

And nobody wants to say the wrong thing to the fan base. The execs could literally just be playing this all out to look like they tried everything they could.

EDIT: Doesn't Messi want Bielsa at Barcelona?

his trophy count does not seem to stack up with the legendary status that he enjoys at Leeds. Bielsa has won six titles over the course of his managerial career, which stretches across 30 years

Olympics 1 2004
CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic tournament 1 2004
Primera Division Argentina 3 1991, 1992, 1998
English Championship 1 2019-20
Total 6

What is the fixation with him being so good?

It's basically famous players and managers quoted saying he was influential on them (inc. Guardiola).

I think it's on his wiki page - which I'm sure is managed and updated by the Leeds social media team.

You could probably pull together quotes on a lot of managers in this manner.

But I don't doubt he's good and puts in the work.

Wasn't Pep and klop impressed with Potter?

Yeah Klopp LOVES him:

When pressed specifically on what he thought of Brighton and their bid to stay up, Klopp continued to wax lyrical about the job done by Potter, sharing what he told the Albion boss before kick-off.

He added: "They’re just a good football team. What Potter has done is exceptional.

"I told him before the game, I couldn’t hold back. The way they play is good. We punished them for what they did tonight and they adapted.

"We were not immediately ready then for second balls. That’s Premier League football.

In the grand scheme of things, it's not really a jaw dropping history. 13 years with Revie had 2 league titles, one FA and one League Cup. One more title under Wilkinson and that's it. Better than ours but hardly something to shout out about. Considerably behind the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton, Nottingham Forest (one title but two European Cups), Aston Villa, Massive!!!

With 3 or more League titles: Villa, Sunderland, Chelsea, Newcastle, Wolves, Huddersfield, Blackburn. And with two titles, Preston, Spurs, Burnley and Derby. So many teams with as much or more of a claim to greatness, and that's ignoring genuine FA Cup titans such as West Brom, Bolton, Sheff United, West Ham and Old Etonians!

Here's Pep:

“It is the first season for Graham. The manager will need time," said the City boss. “Graham is one of the best English managers I have met in the country with all respect to the other ones.

“He is and will be a successful manager because I have noticed how he is as a human being and as a manager.

“I am a big fan of the managers who try to play their own way and not just wait for circumstances or one moment to win the game.

“But sometimes you need more time because the way he wants to try to play is attractive, is seductive but it’s not easy.

“I’m pretty sure next season if the club follow him, he is going to build.

“I am speaking of this because I saw when he was at Swansea, when we were nearly knocked out of the FA Cup.

“I knew when I saw his team play against Arsenal in the Europa League, years ago and the way his team played.

“I admire these guys with maybe not the best players like the lucky managers like I am, to have exceptional players in my hands.

“He tries to do what he has to do. I wish him all the best.

“I am pretty sure next season he will be in the Premier League and next season will be better for him and for Brighton.”

So yeah Pep and Klopp are fans.

A LOT of pundits are.

At this level people want to watch interesting football.

What Potter has done in his first season is really impressive. I've never been more excited to watch us play.

So true.

Potter has been a revelation for us, an utter breath of fresh air for the club. I actually think he’s still quite under rated, definitely by the media, and still by a minority of our fans actually.

The way he’s changed us. We can now go and play and win games away in the Prem. We can play multiple systems. We are capable of 70% possession games. That is just astonish coaching imo given our squad. And he’s blooded youngsters and taken us a to a record points total whilst doing so.

Yet Leeds cretins seem to think he’s a hoof ball merchant for some reason. Really odd as you’d think they’d remember his Swansea side last year given they were in the same division.

Not my problem, but strange behaviour. Let’s see how Bielsa does this season.

Ye I think Pep got quite shocked during this game and been a "fan" ever since:

Afterwards he even apologized that they won the game through the offside goal and the never-a-penalty penalty.

189 pages and counting. This really is a hymn of hate, impressive in its doggedness.

I understand that you don't like Palace and they come first as your historic rivals, but is there another club apart from them that now preoccupies you guys to the same extent as Leeds?

I don't remember such an extreme animus when I have been to away games against you in the past. In fact it has been milder than most clubs we play, comparable to, I don't know, Reading? More a genteel disgust and distaste than hate.

Clearly not so now. I think that is a good thing. A bit of spice, a bit of hate makes a match more interesting. When spectators are allowed back in of course.

There are plenty of revivified hatreds I will enjoy encountering next season. For the younger fans (and indeed the players!) of clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea it these cauldrons of hate will be a totally new experience. Matches against Man U at Elland Road reach a pitch of vitriol and tastelessness probably only comparable to an Old Firm game in the UK. They really are quite something.

It will be on a smaller scale of course, but now we can add Brighton to the long long list of clubs we hate and are hated by...

More than a touch of self flattery there, which comes as a huge surprise to absolutely nobody around here. Let’s just be clear, we hate Palace, everything about them, we hate their shit stadium, their nob head chairman, their moronic fanatics, their shite kit, Croydon, everything. After them comes Portsmouth, utter twats. Now Leeds, we have nothing against the club, its history, its old but nostalgic stadium, but your fans is where we have a problem, almost to a man you’re all self obsessed, arrogant and ignorant, you conduct yourselves with an alarming sense of self importance and it’s very quickly become incredibly boring and tiring to listen to.

Also, you might want to change your settings as I’m only on 47 pages, several of which are probably filled with your self indulgent Latin tripe.
