Leeds bidding must mean White is happy to stay

Stay there, or stay here.

If the management asked him if he wanted to go back to Leeds and he said yes, I don’t think we would sell him anyway. Leeds would have to pay what WE think he’s worth - in other words ridiculous money.

£22M ? Thought Bielsa turned him into a £30M player

SSN reporting two Leeds bids rejected so far for mr white. If they are serious then they need to massively up the money....

Is this real? Nothing on SSN Twitter or from any other reliable accounts.

Good that we’re rejecting the reported 22m this early if it is. We could squeeze at least 30m out of them, if not more.

Edit: Ok it’s actually on SSN itself on the news ticker.

Yeh on their transfer feed thing but not sure how reliable it is. I’d imagine there’s negotiations on his contract - not sure he’d have flat out rejected 2 new contract offers. Will be his agent anyway.

I think if they are that desperate we should hold out for nearer £50m (yes ridiculous). My Leeds friend thinks this is Bielsa's line in the sand in terms of staying.

Both derisory offers in my opinion. And the fact it’s gone public suggests it’s more to show their fan base (hey we’re trying).

Btw, where is this news that White has turned down our contract offers from? Seems abhorrent speculation to come out with as I’m sure neither party would want to disclose that.

Ben will want to get a pay rise, so it’s in his interests to sign an extension.

I would not even consider a bid less than £40m, and even then I want to keep him as his value can only increase.

I’m assuming these bids haven’t both arrived today on the basis of it would show real desperation to up your bid by 20% instantly. Perhaps it’s a leak by either his agent, to leverage contract negotiations, or by BHA to start a bidding war with the big clubs that are supposedly monitoring him.

I presume, probably stupidly, that Leeds would not bid on a player who wants away. Shirley they would have asked him before trying to purchase otherwise it would all be academic.

If anyone thinks he’s going to the dirties, he is still priced at 2/1 on skybet to go to Elland Road.

I’m sure White would be happy to return to Leeds if BHA accepted a bid. I’m also fairly confident he’d be happy to stay at a more established PL club if they didn’t.
