Up to now, I haven't seen one message 'gloating'.

Quite. And even if, so what? He was complicit in our near death. Thank heavens for Dick Knight or NSC wouldn’t even exist to post faux outrage and moral superiority.

Not to hijack a thread at all, but tomorrow a few of us are burying our mate who just died of prostate cancer at 40 (It's not Stanley).

If you see blood in the bowl GO AND SEE A DOCTOR. Don't **** about. Go to the GP.

Sorry to hear Matt - don’t think the OP should have put the cause of death in the post.

Also I know of people over 60 who are sent testing kits who won't do them because of how you have to collect the sample. Come on you wimps, I would rather get sh*t on my hand collecting the sample than go through treatment..

I am having a biopsy on Monday. I asked for a urine test because prostate cancer scares the willies out of me, and because, at 62, my flow is neither calm and steady, nor accompanied by loud commands (although sometimes my strength is running low). Turns out the test result is on the cusp. I had a young female GP stick a finger up my arse a week earlier, but that's another story (the story being she seemed to be going by the book, yes the one she hadn't read properly).

Don't wait till you're getting up three times a night for a jimmy. Tell your GP to sort you out (you may get swifter service if you pronounce your request in the manner of Ray Winston).

I don't know if the thread is true either but let's not beat around the bush. In many ways he was the worst of the lot, sitting there at BISA meetings pretending to be our mate and all the time in cahoots with the other two. I won't shed a single tear and it's nearly wine o'clock.

The missus and I went for a meal with JK and his to Stanley’s restaurant at East Preston. At the time he was just a bit of a monied pisshead, quite amiable, until he got totally out of it and did his regular thing of drowning out all conversation with his singing and dropping his trousers. Bit full of himself but please ant enough - all before he fell under the wing of Archer who I assume got his teeth into Stanley’s other business ventures. Out of Archer and Stanley (Bellotti excluded because he was a lapdog) I have always directed most of my bile Archer’s way.
RIP - he was, or had been, a fan.

Holier than thou.

Did you get to know him? The brief encounter I had he did say a bit more than perhaps I suggested but don't feel it's right to put all the details here, however he did say there was a lot more that went on between the other two that he was far from happy with. I understand he had very little to do with them afterwards but kept in touch with the Blooms.

He did say he was writing a book about his life but due to legal reasons it may not be published until after his death, so we'll see.

It could have all been bullshit mind. ???

Threads reporting deaths usually are expressing a sentiment of Rest In Peace. If you are unwilling to do this then you are not a suitable person to be beginning the thread.

No, I think it very much depends on the deceased.

To be honest I would rather it was done by a trained medical professional than an elderly fund raiser in a tabard :moo:

Just in case readers do not see this as a frivolous attempt at a joke the Brighton Lions facilitate and pay for the blood samples and tests to be taken by a professional and is completely different from the internal check up that we all know and love. It can provide an early sign of a problem. JUST DO IT, you won’t regret it.

Yeah I knew him from his East Preston FC days, I wasn't over enamoured. All his 'regrets' tend to have happened when he knew what a pariah he was in Sussex to so many.

We’ve a Stella owner , playing in the Premier League for our 4th season , just singed two Champions League quality players

We have a state of the art stadium and training facilities and quality people at all levels of the club

Let it go

Maybe we wouldn’t be here now like this had all that went before not happened

Everything we are and what we have is a consequence of what went before
