Way out West
Poor old Spurs fans...they spend the early evening watching little old Brighton, then the main match comes on and they realise they have Serge Aurier as their first choice Right Back!!!

Absolutely superb. It's hard not to get over excited seeing such a young talent like that in a position we desperately needed to improve in. Heard he was good but wasn't sure what to expect, but on the evidence of that one game, he could be even better than,....um....you know........whatsizname?.......that baldy Spanish geezer.

Extra hour a day with Bruno for the young man and he'll be a superstar in a couple of seasons.

That must be one of my favourite posts of all time on NSC . I was concerned about relegation and where our next points would come from and yet now, I sit back and look at that with all the warm, smug contentedness of a very proud father. Not that I'm his dad of course, as far as I know, but you know what I mean.

The hyperbole is understandable. What a fantastic debut! Good, measured post-match Interview and well played GP and the coaching staff for holding him back for the right moment. He was clearly there to counter the speed of Leicester’s attacks and as many have said he had Vardy on toast all evening. He was everywhere and deffo has great all round attributes - longish throw included. I’m actually as excited about last night‘S team performance as about the win over Arsenal.
Let’s hope some of the others continue to stumble and Man U are tired by next Tuesday. Well played Albion!

Vardy tries to knock it past him, gets made to look like an old man. This guy could be special. Also if we dont eff it up there are some seriously good English players coming through.

I am sure he is rapid, but Vardy is now and old man, speed-wise at football.

When I played my pace was my main attribute along with slide tackles.:D

However, I noticed a big change in pace between the ages of 32 and 33, I started having to adapt my game after that and so will Vardy.

In the meantime, Lamptey won't have to worry about that for some time, let's hope his hamstrings are good for a few years too.

The clip above shows his strength as well, Maddison Is expecting to easily shoulder him off the ball but Lamptey is having none of it. We saw it in one of the highlight videos when he joined but that was against other kids, so it’s great to see him showing it now in the Premier League.

Can anyone remember a better debut for us than young Lamptey's? A truly awesome display; and a real talent in the making. A lot of Chelsea fans will be crying into their beers today.

There was a guy we signed from Burton Albion way back in the Seventies.
Debuted away from home against the league leaders, scored with his first touch of the ball after just 50 secs....
