Defunding the Police - is nothing to do with scaling back or shelving the law.
Although I accept it's a little misleading.

As said, 'they' could just have easily gone with:-

'Let The Police - Police'.


In much the same way we don't want 'more bobbies on the beat' if they are going to spend 8 hours doing paperwork after taking half an hour trying to stop a homeless man pissing in the street.

The people behind this just don't want billions of Federal dollars spent on what is essentially paramilitary equipment for a police force (probably quite rightly scared witless half the time) which is then given carte blanche to act with a shoot first mentality.

They don't want the police looking for lost dogs, moving on vagrants, sorting out noisy neighbours, they want the police to police and keep everyone safe.


Christ they don't even care, or have to care, about being filmed.

This last week is suggesting America has a weaponised, heavily armed, well protected, both figuratively and literally, militia who are completely above the law, because they are the law.

That just isn't right.

Sure about that? These are the issues that usuually lead to more complaints to the police than anything else. Keeping people safe surely means preventing them, for example, from fighting with noisy neighbours. Someone has to do it..

They were just examples of work that could be done elsewhere.
I'm sure there's even more menial tasks the police have to perform which could and should be farmed out to specialists.

The 'All lives matter' movement seems to contain a large amount of people who have an 'alt right' mentality, and have merely created it to protest against a protest. If 'll lives mattered' there wouldnt be a need for 'Black lives matter', but these people know that. If not, they are a bit dim.

People's colour never used to be an issue for me as I was taught everybody is the same. Since cultural appropriation became I thing I find myself now fitting the description as a racist.

Class is still the biggest issue. The middle class crap on the poor white working class all the time and it's okay because "They are just stupid" (examples on this thread include the overweight woman with the tattoo) well actually it's probably because they never had the opportunities the middle class assume all white people have.
