In spite of his success, maybe even because of it.... Farage does make me laugh.... and I just know he is laughing too - and not in a benign way!

He’s entertaining in small doses, then you remember the damage he’s done to Britain and it doesn’t seem to be so funny.
The only footage I ever see of him are either him having a paddy in front of other MEP’s or being owned on LBC call ins.

Yep
I laugh at him partly in defiance - because of his insistence that EU members are 'not laughing now'; it doesn't impact on him and it gives me some pleasure. He laughs because he got away with his fake 'man of the people' blokey persona and must be chuckling over his substantial financial prospects at the expense of many decent, trusting, Leave-supporting voters in the country.

Has he started doing the American universities public speaking tour yet? I can Farage doing well out of that for a period. Big money.

If he's getting it for hating carer politicians whilst making a carer out of politics, why not?

I am a big fan of carer politicos. It's a vocation

Bit of a problem there with that, Drake, Nelson and Monty all aspired to achieve victories for the good of their country..... rather than for their own business like Mr Farage.

But ......... but ................. but ..... it's a known fact (on NSC anyway) that all businesses will crash and burn when we leave the EU..........................

I don't know....
However, I imagine his acceptance of any 'gong' will be dependent on how it would be perceived in his future money-making schemes.

It really grieves me to think of those people, who so vocally supported him, becoming further impoverished while his future wealth is assured; but he is a very clever operator - no doubt about that.

Is there an award for being clever and manipulative?

No one... including you, can know what will happen after we leave the EU.
Can your ironic speculation wait until the effects begin to kick in?

Being such a principled person with no ego who wanted to abolish the House of Lords surely he would refuse.???

No-one? Strange - if you had followed this thread for the last few years you would be well aware that one of the main causes of the remainers' ire was the inevitable financial disasters caused by thick people voting to leave.

The bloke is probably the best speaker I've ever heard and it's a shame I don't actually agree for what he stands for.

For argument sake if he was the leader of the Labour Party with Labour political values I've no doubt at some point he would be prime minister, if there is a better speaker out there I've not heard them.

In different circumstances he could indeed be worthy of a knighthood when you look at some of the clowns that have them, unfortunately for Nigel no free theatre tickets or nights at the opera in this lifetime.

Still smarting from it eh?
Reduced you to pointless sarcasm?
Let's just wait and see. The past is gone and the future is unknown; there is only now and we must hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
