I can't see us taking more than one recognised striker in excess of Trossard/Murray/Maupay, so it should be between him and Ali J for 4th choice. I think GP might think it too much of a blow psychologically if Jahanbakhsh was overlooked again, given the circumstances - unless Ali's accepted that he is no longer seen as a striker.

I tend to classify a striker as a number 9. A striker is a forward to in the same way a centre back is a defender.

To me, our Striker options are Murray/Maupay/Andone/Connolly (in that order).

For me, our forward options (the other two inside forwards in the 3–4-3) are Trossard/Groß/Jahanbakhsh/Izquierdo/March & maybe Mooy.

In essence, Connolly will be in for Andone and Jahanbakhsh in for Locadia tomorrow I suspect. Don’t be surprised to see either start with Maupay & Trossard as I’m guessing Potter will want pace on the break.
