I don't think he's Marmite.

Those wishing to do him down have had plenty of justification in doing so..
I think he's more of a cauliflower player.

Was impossible to eat when your gran boiled the shite out of it.

Now some are prepared to eat cauliflower fricassee, while others are adamant they hated cauliflower 40 years ago so it is obviously still shitehouse now.

So you think we are okay for strikers!? I beg to differ. Looks like the club agree with most on here too, since they are clearly pursuing new strikers.

Yes, we are. Could always do with improvements though, in every position. Just not the priority that a few (I don't think you and a few others equals 'most') on here still insist is all that matters.

I like the analogy. My point is based on yesterday it was the same cauliflower as 40 years ago , and i was hoping for a Cauliflower Manchuruan

I keep saying ST, RB/RWB and, possibly, ACM... have you seen Potters quotes on Webby signing? He mentions that Adam has played RB...

I've been criticising his second half all morning.

You on the other hand seem to be heading towards 'I've previously said he's shitehouse, so I will refuse to give him any benefit in the future'.

Were it not for TSB stinking the place out, your refusal to budge an inch would look out of place.

Look at my initial post after last night, and also my comments post Fulham.....

But frankly, I couldn’t give a sh!t, whether my opinion looks out of place or not. It is my opinion, and just so happens I may be right, so fairly pointless trying to bully on the basis of going along with popular opinion.

He was okay in the first half, but as you said yourself after I praised him in the other friendly matches, the good performances may have been due to the opposition.

However, I don’t rate him, and he has a lot to do to sway me........ but, he has done well in the first few friendlies.

AJ though, who I thought would kick on, seems to have stayed where he was.

Ali hasn't really had a look in this preseason, which must be a massive concern for him, going into the season.

He did have strapping down his left thigh, last night.

Was that strapping, or just one of those new hamstring support things.

The quick free-kick he took was literally atrocious and looked like a player void of confidence.

That was a great combination of appalling thinking and execution

I appreciate that everyone has different opinions when watching the same team. But I must have been watching a different team to you last season if you think we aren't desperate for a striker to be brought in. We will see.

It was the light blue strapping from his upper thigh down past his knee.

As someone else pointed out, both Ali and Andone seemed far to desperate to impress in the 10 minutes they were given.
That rarely ends well.

Andone did a couple of half decent tackles the only minor snaffoo being they were on players wearing stripes.

KT tape. Usually used to and recovery from a pull/tear, or could be preventative based on previous injuries. Maybe he's had a hammy problem hence not seen anything of him in preseason (or he's shitehouse, obviously)

You must have been because you’d have noticed we didn’t have any attacking intent in the second half of the season....

Keen? Yes, if player and price is right.
Desperate? No.

Why's that? He's talking sense in my opinion.

If he was manager and culled Ali J and Locadia from the squad, cut losses and replaced them in the transfer window I'm sure many of us would have been pleased.

As it is, we're all depending on Potter to somehow extract some semblance of footballing ability out of either of them.

Seems to be working with Locadia to some extent and not so much with Ali J, but as we all know competitive PL matches are a far cry from pre-season friendlies and I remain deeply concerned about relying on either of them.

Because posters like that seem to have already made up their minds and no amount of evidence to the contrary appears to be able to change that.

Having a manager like that would mean £30m would be shown the door having done very little in an incredible difficult season, on someone else's watch.

I'd imagine those that would be pleased would also be the first to chime in with 'well he couldn't do that for us', if the players found the form that bought them here in the first place.

But why stop there?

Propper couldn't string 2 passes together on his debut v City - cut loses and replace.
Ryan made one mistake against Madrid - cut loses and replace.
Gross is too slow - cut loses and replace.
