So you missed Osboune saying there would have to be a emergency budget within weeks if we voted out. Maybe I missed said budget ? Or maybe your blue with yellow stars glasses have blinded you to his statement ?

It was only urgent action by Mark Carney (the bete noir of Brexiters) which prevented a run on the pound and that emergency budget. So technically he's the one you should be thanking for preventing the need for one.

Interesting there is now an ongoing private prosecution against Boris Johnson

His is alleged to have committed three counts of misconduct in public office”, specifically “statements concerning the cost of European Union membership, which were false, misleading and which abused public trust”. The guy Marcus Ball has raised £163k

I too don't usually frequent this thread but as we're getting to the point end I'm here more.
I have no idea why the same combatants (from both sides) still insist on pulling each other's hair.

We're on the verge of a monumental shift in UK politics and this thread is still at name calling (of which I'm no angel).

Normally the melting pot of NSC is great source for news and opinions, just not here.
Yep, we are all in this together, remainers and leavers alike, whether we like it or not and whether we will end up liking the endpoint or not.

Like you I am not free from guilt in sometimes putting the boot in, I am a naturally argumentative person but I agree entirely with you that would need to move on.

This thread is wholly replicant of the kind of arguments and name calling that is going on in the UK but surely at some point, for the good of the country, it will have to stop?

My fear is that Brexit will continue to divide as much as Margaret Thatcher's government did for so long.

Is that the same Mark Carney that said interest rates would have to go up and the housing market would crash if we voted leave ?

The lengths some people go to because they cannot accept the outcome of a vote 2 odd years ago. Lawyers rubbing their hands with glee

Perhaps you should read it, as it states it's not their intention to stop or delay Brexit on March 29th and that their allegations relate to things Johnson has said both as MP and Mayor of London.

So, for the sixth time, some legal bod will earn out of some half baked attempt at a PRIVATE prosecution. Sunk in yet?

I'd managed to work that out the moment I saw a crowdfund page link for a private prosecution against Boris Johnnson, thanks.

Well done for pointing out the bleeding obvious though.
