Huddersfield & Derby are the two teams to watch (from the Pelaton) over the next two weeks. Forget Wednesday & Newcastle. Reading will be the biggest threat if they win their next two games (they won't). We'll take the Geordies at the end of February or March (check out their fixtures), for the time being, they can smash play-off hopefuls as much as they like.

Beware the ides of March Geordies, beware.

Draw probably. Would like to see the gap between us and third open up a bit more, then we go at the Geordies after their upcoming blip and subsequent fan disquiet as the pressure gets to them a bit.

Can't believe anyone going good anything other than draw. Keep massive away and toon close.

But you're not taking into account how much easier it would be chasing 1 automatic place instead of 2.

Too much defeatist antics on this here thread, would i take 2nd place, you damn right, would i be happy to take the league title.....simple yes,we are the 2nd best team in the division we will finish inside the top two positions,we need not fear the other 22 (no disrespect to them)......the real question is can we catch Newcastle..

If people are happy for points to keep heading that way then fine,we won't.......we have never won this division.....i want us to...

:smokin:

I may have had a glass or 3 of port, but my point still stands.....roll out the big guns!!!

I love this concept of the Pelaton in the championship.

How far back does it go ? Are we saying it's basically from Reading down to Villa ?

I'd say a draw is top result, with a Newcastle win next, but all results are good 'uns in this match.

I'll take a draw. But to be honest detest the worlds 2nd biggest club (Leeds being the biggest) so I hope the magpies stick 8 past them. We are going up no matter the result.

6 points from our next two games. I honestly think that will mean we only need 12 wins from 22 games to go up. Forget the rest and start to believe

It's a peloton, not a pelaton...oh, and Newcastle United aren't Peter Sagan either, as much as they may like to think they are.

Fingers crossed they're more of a Raymond Poulidor.

Just remember folks, we didn't start this.

Wednesday win.

I know a draw makes sense mathematically, but come the end of the season I feel 3pts between us and Newcastle will be more significant – let's get ahead and stay ahead. I'd rather us be looking over our shoulder at Newcastle than Reading or Derby in 3rd.

Newcastle win please. I'm happy chasing Newcastle's coat tails. I think it's made us raise our game and chase the wins whereas before we would have perhaps sat back for a draw. As long as that's our focus we don't need to worry about what's happening in the play-off spots.

I'll take a Wednesday win

I'll watch this live and put Bacchus & Gently on Record

Witness for thee Prosecution on at 9 pm as well. So if the game is not any good I'm going to miss the second half.

PS: I think there is a fair chance that Newcastle are going to muck up their lead starting tonight.
