I would go with the bookies and make them automatic promotion favourites along with Newcastle and the rest including us are playing for the play off place.

I have no idea what you are basing that on. Villa are a total train wreck.

With some very good players and just a matter of getting them to gel. If RDM can do that they will be near the top of the division.if not he will be sacked by Christmas.

Those "very good players" won 3 games last season - and one of those was against Palace.

Vidal Sassoon couldn't get that lot to gel.

Had we followed my advice re a left back last season we would be in the Premier now. We dropped too many points through not getting a left back on an emergency loan.

BG you must be a spoof account because you're laughable.

Three things taken together would have got us over the line. LB position was not one of them.

1. Having Knocky all season.
2. Having a better scoring number 10.
3. Having the honey monster fit all season.

The reason we failed is dropping too many points in Dec/Jan over the Christmas period,. There can be no denying that but hopefully we have learnt our lesson and wont make the same mistake again and if we can reproduce last seasons overall form we will get promoted.

Back on topic Ciaran Clark looks to be on his way to Newcastle after they triggered his release with a £5m bid.
Interesting player. Similar to Dunk in a lot of ways. Solid. Committed. Prone to kamikaze tackles and makes unforced errors through lack of concentration...........
If he goes for £5m I reckon Dunk's worth is around £7m-£8m

Similar? He's hands down villas worst player. Ask any villa fan. Best business of the summer this by villa.

You can't have watched them too much. :lolol:
Bacuna was probably the worst player in the premier league. It's waiting for Clark's next mistake that pee'd the fans off, undoing his good work and too often leading to a goal ........... which is why I liken him to Dunk.
So frustrating knowing there's a good player there if only they could eliminate the inevitable critical mistake but also knowing that 90 minutes concentration is unlikely.
I rate Dunk marginally less liable to disaster and a better passer of the ball but he's still never cut out the inevitable calamity

Not at all because that is a release fee presumably activated due to them being relegated. Dunks value due to his worth to us will be circa 10m.
