family section should be in the upper tier......needs to be 2 or 3 singing sections of 3000 seat blocks....pensioner are as per families....away fans...?? do unto others ...seems to be the go to stick away fans in the corner , well if that's the thing to do then so be it......are we gonna look after people who come to 20 + home games or away fans that come to one match a year....we have just seen there is no charity in this business , so why bother being nice to away fans...??

Controversial perhaps but I think things are ok the way they are. I think the atmosphere at the amex would have been at least as good in the same circumstances and was excellent against palace in that game, until they started to thump us. 
sure there are things that can be done, but a repetitive drum beat repeating the same dull song for an hour does not a great atmosphere make.

I don't get the problem, really.
It was loud against Fulham. It was loud against Burnley. It was loud against QPR (for most of the game). It was loud against Derby.
So, when the ground is full, it's loud.
With Boro's usual pathetic attendances, the place is often pin-drop.
And with all that noise, they didn't win or look even remotely comfortable against 10 men.

But it wasn't - the derby game was our last of the season and built up as the "go-to" match for amazing atmosphere.... the fact is compared to Saturday our attempt was embarrassing to say the least,.
we never keep it loud for a long time, never. The south stand can barely hear the north stand and visa-versa.

The problem is, its really not "that" loud.
I haven't been to a game before where the home noise was like the riverside - yeah its a one-off, but they still did it. I am absolutely fuming about the result and now that cant be changed a lot of my anger has moved to sorting out what is a sh!t atmosphere compared to what I just witnessed.
TB was at the game, surely he would like his "home" rocking like that....
Sorry, harsh I know, but if they don't like it they'll have to move. I simply cannot understand why we are effectively giving other teams an advantage.
Surely this is about the 'greater good'.

I have no idea why the hell we have our family stand and players comp tickets in the east lower right by the away end....surely they're all better over in Block A nearer the north end of the pitch.
Away end have the corner of ESL and south stand, and the rest of the south is for home fans.....

Exactly, A and B, so why is there also the need for families to be stuck at the end near the south stand too? surely they'd rather not be there?

I sit in ESL and really enjoyed the away support being fairly close for those few games - no complaints from me.
I do however recollect objects being thrown by some of our supporters in East upper onto the Cardiff away support.
Agree that there is still work to be done to build more vocal support and even a touch of hostile atmosphere.
