So you give the club nothing and want to continue watching them on the TV in the Championship whilst TB writes off 10m a year?
I watch streams only although to be fair the football mojo has really disappeared as the years go on and to be fair there is better things to do.
Correct I give the club nothing anymore and they give me nothing...Sounds good to me:)
I want prem football for bloom to try and balance the books a bit that's all:)

I like the idea of being in the prem, and the romantic in me thinks we could do well. But the reality is we'd get beaten up quite a bit. I remember that season (02/03?) when we'd just been promoted to the champ and lost about 15 games in a row. It was so depressing. Wouldn't want that even with kudos of being in prem

Completely agree. I am so relaxed about this season it's unbelievable for me. I would love it if we went up, but it will be an utter pain is the bottom because of the lack of Saturday games. I would love it for TB as he deserve it for all his investment. But I'm indifferent, I think the getting there will be more fun then being there.

The most curious thing..
How did you feel in 1979? that said i appreciate all you have said, perhaps if we get there we could all speculate as to whether a yo yo existence is best or a slightly more prolonged spell if achievable is better....i have a feeling it's the modern ways of football at the highest level in this era that is the real issue..still lets hope leicester win the league this year to give us all hope.
I was terribly over-excited until we got spanked by Arsenal in the first game, and the reality suddenly sunk home that we weren't nearly as good as we thought we were. Cue the the next 40 years.

I'm always happy when we don't get relegated.

Id love us to go up otherwise what's the point?
However I know I'd struggle with the amount of absolute bell ends who would turn up. Arsenal in the cup last season was horrendous for away nob heads dotted about and allowed to be. It would be like that for at least 10 of our home games.

I have no interest in the premier league and no interest in the so called big clubs arriving at the Amex...why would you when you support BHA?
The Premiership is a pile of shite and clubs are only interested in the money side and you can see why.The only joys I would get from the prem is seeing Tony bloom get some reward for what he's done.

Don't go to many games as it is and one things for sure I won't be going to any premier league games if we go up.

What a load of old bollocks

I cannot wait to see Albion in the Premier League, despite all the shit.

What Albion fans wouldn't?

I went to a premier league game today.

I was in the pub beforehand, getting hammered, singing songs and having a laugh, just like we used to do in league two. I stood in the away end, watching a win away and saw the absolute crazy bonkers euphoria that brings. Fort the fans, it's the same as it always was, watching your team pit their wits against another. It's more expensive and the money stuff needs sorting out, but for those 90 minutes, it's just football.

Do I want us to go up?

You ****ing bet I do.

last time we made it to the top flight, without sounding arrogant,it was expected

remember no play offs then and we'd gone very close the season before

this time around, nobody's really sure after the recent seasons we've had

I really hope we make it this time around,it would be amazing

Brighton on MoTD every week, that will do for me!

We used to hear this crap at Withdean, we don't want to go up to the Championship, we won't compete, too expensive, matches moved from 3pm, too BIG a queue for a WEEWEE etc. What a load of old CRAP, it's part of the journey as a fan to have the lowest LOWS and the highest HIGHS and we've had enough lows to last a lifetime and if we do go up this season it will be so SWEET as it will have been so UNEXPECTED.

I seem to be on my own in this but I find this thread a little embarassing.

Best League in the world, but you'd rather us play in a lesser league so we can win more games?

Give over.

You play the game to test yourself against the very best. The premier league is highly flawed and is to blame for many of the things i dislike about modern football. However it is the competition that we go into if we are successful so i would like to be successful in it. I want to play at the highest level possible, i agree that not wanting to play against the best because we will lose more is embarrassing (the phrase tinpot springs to mind) i would rather take a longer term view of it and hope that we become more and more competitive (i do concede that this is tricky as Southampton, Swansea, WBA have proven.)

From a selfish point of view it also means i get to watch more games and I won't have to answer the "yeah but who are your EPL team?"

From where we have come from, gaining success in the Premier League would be absolutely amazing and i look forward to it immensly

The most important thing for me is for Tony to get some return on his investment.

I want to get there if only to complete the journey that we have been on since the dark days. I was just getting started as an Albion supporter when we were relegated from the top flight in 1983. Foolish ten year old that I was I remember thinking that it wouldn't take long to get back up. 33 years later and I still waiting, trying to explain to my daughter that we appeared in a cup final and played the best week in week out. Since then we've all been to hell and back. It has taken the combined efforts of tens of thousands of people and the generosity of some folk with very deep pockets to get us to where we are now. Yes, the game has changed beyond all recognition and there is much about it that perplexes me but do I want to be back at the top again? Damn straight, I do. Match of the Day each week. People the world over knowing about our club and travelling thousands of miles to join in the fun. Why not?

Actually, I've wound myself up into a bit of a lather now. I think I want to be in the top division really badly.

That's the viewpoint of the club but the OP made it clear that he goes to football for different reasons and I agree with him. I also think this league is the most competitive and exciting to follow. We can't have it both ways but I am not half as excited at the prospect of EPL football as I am beating the likes of Hull, Boro and Burnley for the Championship title. I should be excited after years of watching us play in front of 5,000 crowds at Withdean and maybe if we get there I'll change my view but right now I'm not.
