Fully expecting beardies to be opening a second branch of their rubbish shop in the North Laine soonest.

North Laine is already stuffed with hippies & hipsters. They'll pop up in Brighton's equivalent of Brick Lane, an unfavoured but up and coming area, like Portsalde?

I don't trust myself to start even watching this clip as ever since the first news article on this was released with accompanying picture i've been sorely tempted to drive round to their shop walk in and just thump them for no reason and leave.

The hair, the tats, the beards. The ludicrous beards. Everything about them screams "oooh look how different I am and how cool are we?" with out realising the delicious irony of actually being the chuffing same as the other 3million bell cheeses who think the same. GROW UP.

Bloody love that they got their comeuppance. Stupid beardy twonks.

This thread is terribly sad.

Judging people on their appearance is not an admirable quality to have - if you do this, try to better yourself, it's simply not good enough.

These people are working hard setting up a unique, fun and possibly profitable business - whether you're capitalist or socialist, this is an impressive feat from either view.

It is quite obvious that the villains here are the media. If they really cared about poverty in Britain, they would do more to focus on the actual causes of it - rather than demonising some tiny coffee shop who barely makes a profit in London.

This is herd mentality at work - faith in humanity drops a little bit reading this thread. The social engineering of the powers that be and the mainstream media are too frequently far too powerful.

At first I thought it was funny story that I have repeated £3 for a bowl of cereal. Hipsters eh!

But that interviewer totally annoys me because of the things you said above.

Find it more tragic that people feel the need to go out and 'experience' breakfast cereal. How hard is it to pour a bowl yourself ? Take the whole family, spend £20 on 5 bowls of cereal, worth about a quid, the worlds gone mad. Totally understand going out for a breakfast fry-up, avoid the hassle of cooking and washing-up, but cereal :ffsparr:

Why go to the pub? After all, how hard is it to open a can of lager and pour it in a glass yourself?

because draft is a superior form (well at least for good beer)? because whole cultural thing? end of day, if people want to eat ceral out, their business, but lets not refrain from ridiculing that people pay £3 and up (thats the cheapest, easily spend over £5 with "toppings"), for 20p worth of cereal.

A lot of people have stopped going to pubs and pubs are closing. Maybe because paying £2 for a pint in a slightly smokey atmosphere was better than paying £4.80p in a body odour atmosphere.

As a business I think it's a poor idea. Will it be around in 3-4 years? Probably not. They're selling a cheap product that is mainly consumed just in the morning. They'll have significant labour and rental costs too. Looks like a loss- maker to me.

The fact they sound like twats is of secondary importance.

The beardies must have soiled their Shreddies when it all kicked of. The customers all Honey Nut Clustered in the basement must have felt very alpen-ned in. If the arrested demonstrators end up doing porridge they'll surely Krave their freedom and be ready to brek out.

Exchange cereal for many other types of food and drink and most of us should be ridiculed.

So this particular youth movement is doing its job then and getting up the noses of stuffy old people :)

Blaming this cafe for the economic situation in Tower Hamlets is a classic, clutching at straws, no wonder he stopped the interview.

Comeuppance? For what?

Should we go into Brighton and smash up any shop run by someone with a beard selling products we think are overpriced? Because I reckon that could take some time. We wouldn't have much of a city left.

Yes I think the tossers who run these establishments are idiots
Yes I think that the people who frequent these establishments are idiots
I certainly don't condone attacking the place - the "anarchists" or whoever are doing it are pure scum
If you don't like it don't go in - simple as that. There's really no need to fire bomb the place

Agree 100%

I'm not a big fan of the Hipster look and I definitely wouldn't pay £3+ for a bowl of Shreddies, but they haven't broken the law unlike the scum that vandalised the shops.
Class War Anarchists are scum.

Agreed and we all pay over the odds for tea and coffee in cafes when it would be cheaper making our own.
