The more players with big game experience the more options we will have when we are playing games one after the other in the World Cup.

I agree, a patronising stance should be taken in such circumstances. However the fact that your forwards won no ball of note in the second half, territorially you had no advantage in the second forty minutes and that you apparently tried to win the game in the first period with no Plan B being out thought by a supposedly second rate coach and injury stricken English side MIGHT give cause for concern.

One of his assistance must have seen something and asked him to check. They do that almost every try to see if there has been anything untoward in the move.

Yes I agree England played well but I've got used to Gatland'sWales first game blues.

We did the same 2 years ago. Lost to Ireland in a similar lack lustre performance then went on and won the thing.

He trains the team hard at the beginning of the campaign and they improve through the tournament. But come on, this year it's England FFS.

I also think he is holding a lot back for the World Cup. We haven't seen a new backs move from them in ages.

That is a bit clutching at straws. Halfpenny looked the only one who didn't choke on the night. Everyone was telling us who read the rugby press that England had no chance and were there for the taking.

Woodward called it at half time and he was dead right. Even with a ref who was particularly hard on England, they kept at the Welsh and wouldn't let them play their game and looked particularly dangerous at the breakdown...even with Hartley being brainless when passing would have led to further opertunities.

I can remember going to the Autumn internationals and loads of people on the platform at Cardiff station saying how we had become predictable and boring with no plan B then we should have reached the World Cup final aferwards.

My only comparison is that Ireland game 2 years ago and also last year we really struggled against Italy first game up.

I would imagine it being between Lambert and Cahill, with Lambert being the last to go after Cahill brushes against a barstool and take a dive. The Ox gets a mention as a possible winner but he's clearly too nice a guy to get involved.

Rugby league is awash with mediocre coaches. A bit like the premiership who will go and look now for Dutch coaches than give british managers a go.
